We LOVE the Tree House and have stayed here twice now. The staff is friendly and we love the breakfast. Several local dishes daily served with fresh fruit and eggs. There is a great place to eat at this resort. Alan makes the best Jerk Chicken on the beach. You are right in the middle of the beach and the resort has two security guards at night to keep things safe. We will definately be back next year. Our needs are quite simple...we want a clean room with good beds and clean bathrooms. We don't mind outdated colors or older rooms. We don't spend much time in the room!

We were at the resort for only 4 nights during early October to celebrate a birthday. During this time, since it is hurricane season, the occupancy was very low. We had a really good time but I think it would have been more interesting if there were more people there. The rooms were a little dated but they were kept very clean and they were comfortable. The resort grounds are very well kept. The beach areas were racked every morning and looked very nice. There are plenty of lounge chairs on the beach and the pool areas. We spent all of our time on the nude side, once you get over the initial shock it is no big deal. All of the guests were friendly and I think everyone was having a good time. The food was descent not great. There is a buffet that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The breakfast was really good, the lunch and dinner were descent. There are two specialty restaurants that you will have to make reservations. The Japanese one is good, but we preferred the Italian one. The entertainment staff worked really hard to make sure everyone was having a good time. I would recommend this resort if you are not shy and easily shocked.

Only two negatives: The poverty-striken towns you must drive through coupled with some shady people off the resort intimidated us a little bit. When we got to the resort late in the afternoon, we walked down to one end of the resort's beach and were approached about buying drugs, and at the other end an employee kindly told us that we were at the end of the property. These things kind of intimidated us from leaving the resort. As we found out on the last day, we shouldn't have been worried at all-- a bunch of small shops, other resorts, and Margaritaville are up and down Negril's beaches, and my wife and I would have been fine. (Once we learned which people to ignore--non-uniformed Jamaicans walking the beach-- we were not dealing with drug offers.) So even though we stayed on the resort, my wife and I had an awesome time...Dirty dishes don't last a second on your table. The employees are very attentive to your needs--- as though they were working extremely hard for a tip- I was actually kind of sad I couldn't tip them. This also seems to be a great place to meet and mingle with other couples at the resort-- We were more interested in being alone together, but we heard many people call out to each other by name, and many couples meeting up with a small group for dinner. It seemed like most people enjoyed making new acquaintences. Our Garden Atrium Suite with hammock was very nice and relaxing. The room decor isn't tacky like the pictures in a lot of other Jamaican resorts.

We travle quite frequently and have stayed at All Inclusive resorts many times. This was our first time at a Couples resort and from check in at the airport to check out at the hotel, Couples took very good care of us and our bags, making the process stress free and easy. We were greeted at the airport and taken to the Couples lounge for a drink until our shuttle was ready. The ride is just over an hour to get to Negril, but the peacefulness of the area and calm, clear waters and sunsets was worth the travel time. We did one excursion (ATV) with Chukka and were not to impressed; possibly good for first timers. Otherwise we were perfectly happy relaxing at the resort. We were told it was a fully booked week for the hotel, but you would not have known otherwise. We were very surprised at the quality of the food (Outstanding!) and it is worth bringing proper attire to eat at the Otaheite restaurant at the resort; part of all inclusive. From the sit down restaurants to the buffets, you will not be tired of the food. The resort itself is small, but quaint with NO kids. There is a nude beach next door separated by bushes until they go into the water and then it is visible to all. Some patrons at the resort did go topless on the resort beach, but I believe that is acceptable. The catamaran cruise is pretty much a party boat and not a relaxing enjoy the sunset in peace event. You will experience vendors walking the beach, but security keeps them moving and limited.

We had a wonderful vacation at Brezees Grand Negril. This was our third visit to the resort, but the first in eleven years. Although the resort is showing its age and the service is not what it used to be, we still thouroghly enjoyed our time. We will definitely return, hopefully yearly. The staff was fantastic, especially the bar, food and event staff on the clothing optional beach. The food at the breakfast and lunch buffets was very good, and we highly recommend the Japanese (whats- up!!)and French restaurants for dinner. Overall the resort was very quiet and relaxing, especially at the c/o beach and pool. The other guests were friendly and it was a pleasant aptmosphere. The spa massages by Verna and Brenda were the best we've had. A couple of suggestions for the management would be to update the c/o pool and beach area and make mandatory nude to eliminate some of the visitors just there to hang out and look, and also to have a few more different daily activities in that area. There was plenty of offsite excursions to participate in for an extra cost. We went to Ricks Cafe to see a the cliff divers and a sunset, it was ok to do once, for the rest of the time we were content to stay at the resort and relax. We would recommend this resort to any couple for a relaxing luxury vacation at a good value.

My husband and I love an all inclusive resort. The beach/water at this resort was a 10 plus, plus, plus! It made up for the food in the buffet which was not the best. The room was comfortable and clean with a well stocked mini bar. The staff was EXCELLENT they could not do enough for you. The al carte restaurants were very good BUT you have to be in line for the reservation at 7:30 am to get a reservation. The desk tells you 8 - 10 am but DO NOT get there past 8 am or you won’t get a reservation. NO GOOD! The resort is small so you can see it all. Overall, we had a fantastic time!

If you're looking for a relaxing getaway at an all-inclusive with no beach just a cliffside (i.e. no panhandlers) this is the place for you. View is beautiful, staff is attentive but not overbarring and food is wonderful (if you enjoy fish, chicken and standard American breakfasts). Did not particularly like that tipping was allowed at an all-inclusive, stressed me out a bit since I didn't know what to tip. But since the exchange rate was 85 Jamaican Dollar to 1 USD, I think anything is appreciated. We tipped the individuals that helped us on a daily basis near the end and then left a pool tip on the credit card at check out. I only left the resort one day to take a sunset "booze cruise", it was a good time and we snorkeled for 25 minutes. Rick's Cafe is only about 0.25 miles away so it's walkable, but I wouldn't suggest walking too much further. Things we learned...spring for the transportation to & from the airport thru The Caves (call ahead). It costs a little more, but is a direct shot to/from the airport. Otherwise you make stops at many other resorts and it takes 2 hrs, versus about 1.25 hrs direct. Get the cave hot tub at sunset, not moon light. You can't see anything for the moon, but sunset would be beautiful. You can buy all of the souveneirs you want at the airport, may be a little more expensive but much less hassle. Be prepared to be propositions for various "things," not at the resort, but anytime you leave. Finally, make sure you have a Dark & Stormy!

This hotel is not your fancy tv advertised resorts but it is comfortable, clean and the staff very friendly. We went all inclusive and the food was local cuisine and tasty. Breakfast was usually a bust unless you arrived early because things were placed in warmers and late breakfast resulted in "novelty eggs". Not much activity to do at the resort except hang out at the scenic bar and visit with other guests. The pool was clean and well maintained. Swimming/snorkeling off the cliffs was beautiful. I definitely would stay cliff side versus "garden side". Also due to high humidity I would opt for a room with air conditioning. The desk staff can help with scheduling any tours you would like. The resort is somewhat gated and there is a security guard late at night. Although the resort does not have internet access there is an internet cafe across the street. There is a daily shuttle to the sister resort on the beach and that area is quite pleasant and close to duty free shopping. I would recommend this resort for those that are budget conscious and do not require the "finer" things.

This resort was everything that we could have hoped for and more. We had an ocean view room with a king size bed over the dining area. Easy access to beach, dining & pool. The dining staff couldn't have been friendlier or more hospitable. Mama, our cook, fixed delicious meals. Enjoyed the opportunity to sample local cuisine. Food was plentiful with something for everyone's liking. Definitely recommend the all inclusive. Safety boxes were available for rent $3.00 a day, to store your valuables. Towels were provided but had to be exchanged for clean ones at the front desk. Minor inconveinece but no big deal. Sherlock & Mike made our beach experience terrific. Felt safe & comfortable at all times. The Jamican culture was clearly evident in this small resort. Very colorful decor and family like atmosphere. Sister resort Samsara was more upscale & offered a different experience with the cliffs & basic layout. Appreciated the availablilty to access both resorts. This was our first trip to this beautiful island. It was a wonderful vacation.

We really enjoyed our stay at the CoCo La Palm. Our room was very clean. It was bare bones of course for the price but was good for what little we paid for it. The bed however was a nightmare. It was so hard and our backs hurt every morning. The wait staff was excellent. The drinks aren't that great though. If you want good drinks there is a small Bar called Irie on the beach toward the cliffs just a 10 minute walk from the resort and they have the BEST rum punch in town. Food at the resort was a little overpriced for what you got but the free continental breakfast was GREAT. Their Banana bread is awesome. We felt very safe there. We actually didn't lock our room all week. We just assumed it locked when you left but it didn't. Therefore, our room was unlocked all week and not a thing was touched. Do the glass bottom boat tour. Its well worth it to snorkel at the Coral Reef. Its a beautiful stretch of beach. All the people we met from all inclusive resorts wished they did it like we did. Stayed at a lower priced resort and ate the local food. We saved around $1000 by doing it that way. We will be back to Coco La Palm and have told friends about our stay and they will be visiting too. Also we liked that it was an American Owned resort also.

I stayed at Whistling Bird from March 11 - 17, 2011. It was everything I had hoped for, and more. The hotel is small; it's more like a resort, but it's not a resort like Sandals or Beaches. The reason I chose WB is that I hate big places full of pretentious, stuffy Americans.Whistling Bird was perfect. The staff there are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet, and will go out of their way to ensure your time with them is wonderful. They will quickly become more like long time friends than employees at a hotel. The gardens are beautiful and the beach is the nicest I've ever seen. The water is turquoise and crystal clear, and the sunsets are picture-perfect every night. The food at WB is absolutely fantastic. The Escovitched Fish is out of this world! My room did not have a tv, not that I cared; I wouldn't have watched it anyway. Parking can be a bit difficult. My only complaint is the phone system. You cannot make or receive calls from your room; all calls go through the office and there is not always someone in the office to answer the phone or place your call for you. Minor, but would be nice if it could be rectified, especially if you have friends in Negril you're trying to contact. The wifi works GREAT, and it's nice that it's free. If you want to see the REAL Jamaica, choose Whistling Bird. You will not be disappointed. I cannot wait to go back and am already brainstorming how to save money for my next trip. I most definitely left my heart at Whistling Bird.

This resort is absolutely amazing! It is secluded and beautiful. Each treehouse is in a duplex design, surrounded by local plantlife, giving each room a secluded intimate feeling. The resort is about an hour and a half away from the airport, but the travel is worth the stay. The atmosphere is quiet, if your looking for a relaxing vacation, minus the crowds. The meals are amazing! The drinks never end. The beach is something you can not miss! This resort is absolutely everything your looking for if you are looking for a quiet, intimate atmosphere. No crowds, no loud parties until 3 in the morning. On the other side of the positive, there are a few points that should be brought to your attention. The resort offers only 3 meals a day. These meals are offered at the buffet style resturant. There is also an option to have dinner in the "elegant" resturant; however, to eat dinner in this restuarant, you must be in elegant attire (no shorts, jeans, etc). The downfall to the amazing meals that are offered; there is no option for the late night eaters, or early morning hunger moments. There is an option for during the day, if you decide to eat when the buffet is not available (the beach grill). The beach is across the street from the resort; however, there is an area that is private to the resort and for resort guest only. The downfall to the beach is the resort can say only guests can enter the area from the street; however, they can not control the locals on the actual beach. There were moments where several locals would try to talk to you while on the beach or walking to ask for your business (hair braids, shells, shirts, etc). The resort is amazing, and the minor pitfalls should not keep you from experiencing this resort. The information provided is just to help inform you of each moment you may experience. This is a resort that you simply can not pass up on. It is everything you imagine experiencing in Jamaica! :)

It was a nice resort. All of the staff were very pleasant & helpful. We heard from the staff that the hotel was booked at 102% which may have led to some of the initial chaos of getting the room we had requested. There seemed to be a lack of information on what the resort had to offer once we arrived. For instance, a brochure in our hotel room with a listing of the spa services, the different types of restaurants, & nightly entertainment would have been helpful. There was information, you just had to work a little to find it. The food was good, the work out room was nice to have & the beach was beautiful. We also liked the dive masters but would have been interested in more dive times (they mostly offered dives only in the morning & no night dives). I have stayed at many resorts in the Caribbean & in comparison, I would have to say that I liked this hotel for the price we paid. The resorts I'm comparing this to were ~$1000 more per couple. As a personal preference, I would probably spend more next time & upgrade to a higher quality resort (with more freebies, more restaurant choices, gourmet food). But overall, this was a very nice hotel. I went with my dad who hasn't been to as many all-inclusive resorts & he loved it.

Nice hotel not a big "all inclusive" resort. Breakfast was included but it appeared the first three days we were there it was on a first come first serve basis - even though we were going to breakfast a half hour after it started being served. However, we found staff to be friendly and accmodating if you nicely asked for the buffet to be replenished. There were not enough lounge chairs for all guests and the front desk "ran out of beach towels". It sounds like I am complaining however overall the hotel was what we expected. We did not go to Negril to stay on an "all inclusive" resort and the location of this resort is awesome. 5 minute walk to the straw market and right on the beach. The best sunset view on the beach.

Knowing how little I paid, I was a little skeptical about this resort before our trip. Upon arrival I was happy to see that the resort looked just like the pictures, no surprises. The hotel staff was super friendly and accomodating. The rooms were basic, nothing special. Ants on the bathroom floor, but not a big deal. The location is tucked away so you're not on the cliffs or beach. I could imagine it being boring if you plan to spend a lot of time at the resort, although they've got a pool, there's not much to do. We were there for a friend's wedding, so we spent a lot of time at their resort which was on the cliff side and was gorgeous. We didn't spend a lot of time at the Oasis, so for us it was perfect, just a clean place to lay our heads. Great food in the restaurant, excellent jerk pork, however food takes a long time.

The Caribbean Sunset Resort is located in up the hill nearly 800 yards from the roundabout, it is in prime location to the bank, Burger King, super market, and several Jamaican apparel beach wear shops. The resort is gated with and guard on duty and locals will not bother entering the resort if you need a break from being accosted into buying things. The resort is higher in elevation so you get a pretty good view of the happenings on the street though far enough away and hidden by palms to feel like you’re on top of everything. The pool is a nice retreat from the mid day sun and quite refreshing at night I did see them treat the pool every day of my stay and despite the music from a local night club (Saturday nights are especially loud bring ear plugs life saver) the resort is quiet and safe at night. My room was cleaned on a daily basis I didn’t have to worry about the safety of my valuables, safes are provided in the rooms for three dollars a day keys are at the front desk and if there no safe in the room there are safes that stay at the front desk area for rental. My room was a single with a King sized bed it had very nice furniture in it, a television, ceiling fan, AC, bathroom, and private balcony. There was a bit of a bug issue I had mosquitoes which can be remedied if you keep the curtains closed during the day and shutters closed. I didn’t order any food from room service I did however purchase beer from the bar which was ice cold and a “fair†bar price in Jamaica

The pictures really captured the resort! It is a lovely place and we are definitely going back! It is a pretty place and brings a sense of calmness to you. It felt and looked safe too. Loved the gardens! The continuental breakfast was rather boring so we added other items. wished they added cornmeal porridge to the menu! Oatmeal was boring & not made JA style! Prices weren't bad, but Kayuba has a fantastic breakfast! Enjoyed Sweet Spot's bbreakfast too! The sectioned beach was perfect & we really enjoyed our time thout there. Our room size was perfect. We thought we needed an extra chair in the room but we ate on the patio which was VERY private. Select a room on the ground level - more privacy! The bed was so comfy & the shower big enough for two!!! We got a peek at a room used by a group of college students! It was huge with 3 beds! Even though the were next door to us we saw and heard nothing, even though there were a lot of beer bottles outside their door each morning! The staff were great! Very pleasant and made you want to smile!! We liked the fact that they recorded when we left the property and when we returned. We have stayed at a number of hotels in Jamaica and this was definitely one of our favourites. We are definitely going back!

Having been to the beach strip in Negril a few times before with a good idea of what to expect value wise for accomodations I was plesently suprized with the hotel. Great location on the beach, good security and I had an excellent view from my balcony. Keep in mind unless you pay top dollar at an expensive all incusive resort you are staying oceanfront in Jamaica and the pace is slower and it they all struggle to overcome the effects of the salt air - expect rust anywhere. Negril was still cleaning up from the impact of the tropical storm in September. Would not reccomend staying here with the all inclusive plan as much of the food on the menu was not available when I did eat at the resort , I think they are too small without sufficient resources to support an all inclusive plan but for a basic room in a great location it was perfect for me.

My husband and I discovered this little gem the last time we were in Negril and couldn't wait to try it out! Nelson picked us up at the airport, and was waiting for us as soon as we exited the airport. We had an awesome drive to the hotel and enjoyed all of Nelson's stories and information about the Island. He stopped anywhere we needed to before arriving at the hotel. Check in was a breeze, and we were in our room within 10 minutes of arriving. Our room (Ocean front #10) was clean, great AC, Satellite TV (as if you need TV with the view from our room!). Room #9 next door was the same room, however it did have in our opinion the best view of all of the lower rooms. There were only 7 rooms in our bungalow, 6 in the one beside us and about the same in the building on the grounds side. We took advantage of the ocean playground at our disposal...my husband snorkelled each day; lots of lion fish, and he even saw a nurse shark! There is also a seaside pool and I really enjoyed taking a quick plunge when it got really hot. The restaurant onsite was good. We ate breakfast and lunch daily here. We did have dinner a few times as well; I loved the fried chicken, jerk chicken and the tropical fruit was the best way to start the day. There are some timing issues with the restaurant; however they do have someone working with them to improve service. We arrived on December 26th and didn't leave the hotel until New Years Eve to go to town and pick up some supplies...we found out that we could have a fridge in out room which was just perfect! Jermaine is a true gentleman, great driver and just a kind wonderful soul...never leaves anyone behind! From New Years on we went into town for dinner each night; the shuttle is about 15 minutes to town. If you are looking for an all out party resort, this is not for you. If you are looking for a place where you can get away from it all, enjoy privacy, don't want to be forced into "fun time games or pool aerobics", appreciate a rustic view and love the real Jamaica...this is your spot! We met several couple who had been coming here for years...we are already booked to go back in April.
