The important thing to know about the Embarcadero is that you'll stay in a condo owned by someone else. So YMMV. That said, the rooms seemed to have pretty much the same furnishings and amenities overall. We had two rooms, and they were both reasonably nice and both were clean and ready for our stay. The resort feels overall like a large apartment complex more than a hotel. The price made it a good value overall. Some minor points: + We used the pool, which was a nice feature. + The fireplace would have been nice on a cold night. - Doors open directly to the outside, like a motel. - The sofa bed was just OK. - No blackout curtains in the living area, so sleeping late on the sofa bed is hard to do. - The water view was primarily of the marina (boats). It was fine, but not a major feature. - Our 3rd floor room had indoor stairs, so when somebody came to the door, we had to walk down and back up with them. - The hotel restaurant was not open for breakfast most days, which made the location a bit less convenient overall. The negatives were rather minor for us, but this "resort" is more of a value-oriented option. Taken like that, it was a good stay.
