My wife had booked this hotel almost last minute, because there were'nt a lot of options in Nongkhai within our guidelines and budget, It was definitely off the beaten path but i think that is what makes it unique and attractive at the same time! Its close enough to the city and the staff will find you transport into town so don't let the location deter you, There's a restaurant within walking distance right on the river that serves really authentic thai cuisine with alot of spice. The resort is surrounded by rice fields and farmland, so its very quiet and peaceful, most of the rooms overlook the pool, so you really feel private and secure, The staff will go out of ther way to help you with any questions and concerns you have, and the goal of my visit was to eat at as many local restaurants as possible, not knowing the area or the town, I was happily surprised by all the options there are and the staff knew the goods ones to go to, I asked a lot of questions and if they didn't know they would find out for me, truly impressed! For the price you are paying you get all the modern comforts like AC, safe deposit box, modern rooms with a big bathroom and privacy if you desire well worth the price. which for someone from the states is a great deal! Its like the price of a Motel 6 but you get a boutique hotel experience! I will definitely be staying at this hotel again. a good jump off point to go and visit laos, right on the border of thailand and Laos.
