The good: 1) Excellent location to get to Disney World (just of I-4 but not so close that you can hear the Interstate) 2)Sleep Number Beds (If you like adjustable firmness via an inflatable mattress with an airpump) 3)Can buy park passes at the hotel front lobby (same offers as everywhere else. ie no discount for one day only and discounts once you do multiple day passes, etc) 4) They have a 100% satisfaction guarantee and seem to do their best to honor it. (Manager on Duty did his best to resolve an issue with their 3rd party shuttle service to Disney World) 5) Seemed like nice pool areas and main lobby/ restaurants. (we didn't have time to visit them) The bad: 1) You will be charged a resort fee a day (2011). This is NOT a resort. I booked through hotels.com and then had to pay the extra hotel resort fee for access to "internet, shuttles and other amenities at the hotel" 2) The hotel is old but OK. People are saying 30 years maybe. They were doing remodeling and renovations while I was there. 3) We asked to have a room far away from the elevators and ice machines. The woman said "no problem" and gave us a room two doors down from the elevator. 4) Their 3rd party shuttle service (Platinum Shuttle Service) was supposed to pick us up at 6pm at EPCOT. We got to the pick up location at 5:56pm and the shuttle was not there. Waited till 6:15 to find out the bus left early. After calls to Radisson and the shuttle service dispatch the shuttle service lied and kept changing their story saying they were there till 6:05 and left. Was told by one Radisson employee and the shuttle service we would just have to wait till 8:45pm till the next one (we had already been there for 10 hours and was 100 degrees. We walked fast and ran some to make sure we were at the pick up point before 6pm. There was 12-15 other people waiting there including a man in a wheelchair with his family). We called dispatch and Radisson back a couple more times trying to get it sorted out. After an hour of this nonsense the Manager on Duty at Radisson asked me and my wife to get a cab and he would reimburse us the fee($22.75). He did so and also comped us one days resort fee. The kicker about the shuttle service is that 10 mins after the pickup time another shuttle from Platinum Shuttle came by and asked why we had not been picked up yet. He tried to charge the different groups of people waiting there $3 each person to take us. He talked to the dispatcher and was told to butt out of the situation and leave us there. The shuttle was empty and the company could care less about us standing out there in the 100 degree sun on top of trying to squeeze extra money out of us (in addition to what the hotel pays them). My wife now swears she will never take a shuttle service and we will need to just drive our car and pay parking.

When I booked it was called the Ramada Orlando Celebration Convention Resort. Somewhere in between the name was changed, which caused some confusion when looking for it. It is one of the older motels, however despite its age, it looked well maintained and was clean. When we checked in, there was only one set of towels, I called the desk, and more were brought right up within minutes. The only negative thing I can say is the wall unit air conditioner/heater was quite noisy when turning on and off all night. But that was just probably because I'm not used to hearing noises at night. The pool was too cool to be comfortable (February) but overall for the price it was a good place to stay, not far from Disney or I-4 and a breeze to get anywhere (if you don't get lost...lol). I would stay here again.

Maybe a semi-nice resort for a golfing experience. The purpose of our trip was for a romantic getaway and to visit Disney Attractions while staying at an off-resort secluded property for relaxation at the end of the day. The room was grossly overpriced for the lack amenities. We didn't have a refrigerator or microwave. Parking is limited and we couldn't find any spots on several occasions. Ice was dirty. The lake and 'romantic' patio area outside the room were in shabby condition. There is nothing to do at the resort after 7pm, unless you want to dine at an expensive restaruant. No food place/bar is within easy walking distance of the resort. MOST activities that the resort mentions require travelling to Hyatt hotel a mile down the road, which is not something you want to do at the end of a long day just to pass 45 mins. There is a daily resort fee for access to all these amenities whether you use them or not. The only thing noteworthy about the resort to mention is the free beverage on check-in. Nice touch. Overall, for a better disney experience I suggest staying on a disney property may be more worth the money. I would never stay at the Villas again for any reason, but I could see how golfers would enjoy the experience.

This resort is a timeshare property. It has been well maintained, but the suite we booked was supposed to sleep 6. Luckily, the 3 others we were planning to have join us had other plans, so only my spouse and I stayed there. The entryway is a very narrow hallway with a small bedroom on one end (2 queen beds), a very small bathroom in the middle and a mini-kitchen/sitting room/second bedroom combination that is also quite small on the other end. It was actually cozy for the 2 of us but I would not want to be the couple sleeping in the mini-kitchen on a fold-out couch. Also, bring coffee because the coffee maker is for one cup but the coffee provided is in a sealed filter made for a 10 cup brewer. The front desk staff would not let us have any extra time for checkout though we arrived at 2 a.m. and checkout is at 10 a.m. Of course, do read the terms and conditions when you book online because there are a lot of extra fees including taxes and resort fees. Also, the resort will put a "hold" on your credit card until they are satisfied that you did not take anything or damage the room. I have not yet had a chance to check my credit card online to be sure they cleared the hold but I would imagine that they did. Even so, overall, it was a comfortable stay.

Port Orleans Riverside is a great stay. I have stayed in several parts of this expansive resort, and each carries its own character with charm. We appreciated the roomy double sink area outside of the bathroom, and our 3rd floor room that faced a fountains, a rose garden, and the Sassagoula River. We also appreciated how close we were Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, & Hollywood Studios. The bus rides there were shorter than at other Disney resorts. The boat to Downtown Disney had a long wait (40 minutes to get on) the night we took it, but it is a beautiful and quick ride. The bus would probably have been faster. Due to the expansiveness of this resort, it has four bus stops. Your bus will stop at all four. This can be annoying if you are trying to get somewhere on time or are arriving back late at night and just want to get to your room. *Important* If you arrive late at night to check in, and there appears to be no one in the lobby to check you in, there is a bell towards the far end of the lobby that alerts the night desk people to come out and serve you. The bell and sign are very hard to see from the lobby's entrance. Don't resort to sleeping on the lobby's couches! Someone is there to help you promptly once you ring the bell. Riverside was very relaxing, quiet, and beautiful. We enjoyed soaking our feet in the hot tub at night near the main pool, and all the little bridges that crossed the river. It was one of the cheapest moderate resorts when we went, but I think it is far nicer in ambiance than most of the other moderate resorts. Well worth the deal!

This was quite a nice qaint hotel very well laid out with very adequite rooms and a nice pool area. All the staff was friendly and very helpfull. The only disadvantages were 1) the breakfast it was promoted as a hot continential breakfast with a good variety, not quite it was the same for 2 weeks with no fruit or yogurt and very little space to eat so people were fighting for tables every morning. 2) The fitness room had no free weights and the equipment that was there was outdated and a couple of machines didn't even work. 3) We had to ask the front desk daily for towels and toilet paper, there were 5 of us in a room and only 1/2 to 1 roll of toilet paper on any given day, in addition the cleaning person didn't vacume or mop the bathroom floor. 4) The complimentary shuttle that they have going to the various resorts could be improved with more shuttle service to and from the parks, almost everyday my family and I stood in the aisle with 15 other people and on 1 occasions we were in a Disney park running to the shuttle and were only meters away and it drove away on us, when I phoned the hotel we were told that they're on a strict schedule and they have to leave exactly on the hour, very disappointing.

The resort location is excellent. Especially if you are going to Magic Kingdom. The resort is dated, but acceptable. The premises are clean, the room was clean and they supply all the utensils for cooking. The staff could possibly be more inviting and pleasant. That is probably the only setback encountered. The guards at the security gates were always pleasant and had a smile on their face, no matter how early or late you would arriive.

I am a front desk manager of a resort in Ormond Beach, Florida. I typically do not go on vacations and stay in hotels/resorts because I tend to sabotage my experience with finickiness. I had a great time. Check-in was easy and flawless, as was checkout. I was never disturbed during my stay. The room was very clean. While some of the room was a bit dated, it did not affect the ambiance or the cleanliness of the unit. There were only two things I found issue with- When I made my reservation with expedia, I was told I had a unit with the balcony over looking the pool. When I arrived to the room, if I strained my neck, I could get a sliver of pool view. My view was of the lake, while pretty was not what I expected. My second complaint that in the evening I went to get 2 pool towels and I was told where they were. When I explained there were not any left, I was told they did not have anymore with no alternative given on what else they could do. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and will be coming back on the very first chance I get.

WE have just returned from 2 weeks at the Disney Caribean Resort Hotel. The resort is a collection of buildings arranged into developments surrounding a lake. Each development has its own name - we stayed in the "Jamaica" area. As with most Disney resorts there is regular and super efficient bus transportation to the theme parks which is absolutely brilliant. The resort itself has a number of swimming pools and artifical beach areas, the later located around the edge of the lake. The main pool is good fun being built in the style of an old fort and is complete with a small water slide, hot tub and water fountains. The central point of the resort is "old Port Royale" This building houses the gift shop, resteraunt and food outlets / dining area. We were very dissapointed with the qulaity of food on offer at the resort. All the food was served on paper plates and eaten using plastic cutlery. That was tolerable, but having to wait in line to pay for your meal and be served by staff who seemed to be on a permenant go-slow was far from ideal. In summary the resort was OK, but was let down by the variety, presentation and service of food. The disney theme parks are well worth visiting, especially Magic Kingdom, and you must make time for the "Fantasmic" show at MGM which is spectacular. Overall, a good time in Disney, but I wouldn't go back to the Caribean Beach Resort. The Fort Wilderness lodge is a much better bet!
