We loved the Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort. It was within walking distance to other hotel's and restaurant's. Although we did eat at the Holiday Inn too and the food was very good. No compaints. I had booked a partial view of the ocean, but wasn't happy with that, so went down to the desk and ask about a ocean view room ( facing the ocean ), and they were exceptionally nice and upgraded us to oceanview. We will definitely stay at the Holiday Inn again. Can't wait to go back.

When we first arrived I reminded the desk clerk that I had requested a room on a higher floor, the first room that we were sent to was on the first floor and I was very displeased. I refused this room and we were given the option of seeing several other rooms. The room we choose had a moldy odor and mold on the walls so we had to move again due to allergies. Finally, we were placed in a room in the Aruba Tower (main) on the 4th floor, this room was cleaner and did not smell of mud. Despite a rocky start the vacation was wonderful. Don't forget to take a photo with the birds that are on the resort, they are taken out of the cages daily and they talk.

I recently went to Aruba and stood at the Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino. I was not impressed at all. The exterior was in need of a paint job, as the balcony railings were rusty and peeling. For the price of the package, we did not get absolutely anything included. The prices for the meals were exaggerated and all services were at an extra cost including the kids program. You had to wake up at 6:00AM to get a hut on the beach. There were no refreshments in the room's bar, even if you had to pay for it, it would've been nice to have the option. They offered a complimentary food credit but you had to sit down for a 2hr time share presentation to receive it (needless to say we didn't waste our time). I stood at a 3 star hotel in Jamaica and the service, property and amenities were far better than the Marriott's. I will say that the beds are very comfortable and the casino is pretty nice. The only good thing for kids, if you didn't want to pay the outrageous camp fees, was the game/arcade room. You can play games for less than a dollar.

The Hyatt was a great hotel, both in terms of the facility itself and the friendly staff. The pools are very nice (kids will love the waterslide), the beach is great and there were always plenty of pool chairs/beach cabanas available with very accommodating staff helping you. They even have available containers of drinking water and ice available so you don't have to pay for bottled water - very much appreciated after having to pay exobitant poolside prices for bottled water at other resorts. Pretty sure a traveller won't regret choosing the Hyatt in Aruba.

This was our first visit to Aruba and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and cannot wait to return. The hotel was great and clean, staff very friendly and helpful and the beach was beautiful. The only down side was the smell of mildew in the room and the dampness in the room was horrible. All our clothes had a wet feeling and so did the sheets. I would wash our bathing suits out and they never dried due to the dampness. Also, eat in town, much, much cheaper than eating at the resorts. You really do not have to do the all inclusive unless you like alot of cocktails. We would have spent more on the all inclusive plan if we had chosen that. We spent less without it and we did eat good.

The hotel was quaint and the staff was great!. There were some ants in the room that the staff took care of right away. The location was perfect as it was walking distance to beach and resorts.
