The resort was fantastic. This resort offers something extroidinary whether you are seeking a relaxing spa getaway with adult only pools, exquisite dining and relaxing spa services or an ultimate all inclusive family fun vacation! The location offers additional convenient access to plenty of other dining, shopping and movie theater just across the street! Our mother daughter retreat was a wonderful experience with so much to do right in the resort. It was the most relaxing vacation because everything was right there. My ten year old daughter loved everything and enjoyed herself so much she sacrificed her annual trip to Disneyland to return with her grandmother a week later. The pools and water park are well maintained and professionally managed by friendly well trained staff and lifeguards. The rooms were wonderful, well maintained with excellent amenities. We had a pool side room which offered a wonderful convenience with a seperate access gate to the Splashtopia water park! The pool, water park and all of the staff were amazing! The lifeguards were professional, the staff was very attentive and helpful. One of our favorite parts of the entire experience was the movie night at the pool which is offered on Thursday and Saturday evenings. They also have a waterslide contest which is fun for the whole family. While we would rate our overall experience a' 9' the only things that kept it form rating a 10 were -the beds were not very comfortable considering the quality of all the other accomodations. -we also had to request clean robes which they not only accomodated but offered a resort credit for the inconvenience. -Room service was expedicious and friendly but they brought the wrong order twice but again comped the meal with sincere apologies.

The resort has a lot of facilities but we didn't have enough time to enjoy all of them. However, the room condition was below our expectations for a Westin brand. First of all, the complimentary toiletries were missing in the bathroom. Then, we noticed that the coffee supply weren't topped up. There was no creamer and stirrer for the coffee. On the morning of the second day, housekeeping called while we were asleep to ask if we want to have the room made up, which is kinda unexpected and not in a good way. We told them to come back in the afternoon but they never come. On top of that, our toilet bowl got clogged up and the resort only sent someone to our room to fix the clog after a second call. For the price that we paid for the hotel and as part of the Westin brand, the service experience we received for our room was below our expectation.

The hotel itself was fine but most of the clientele were older and apparently regulars. The dining selections on the grounds of the resort were not very good at all. At a resort/spa I expected the dining selections to be (at least some of them) healthy choices... none were. The food choices appeared to be mainly for the older "regular" clientele and somewhat at odds with the activities available at the resort. For example, there was tennis, swimming, biking, etc all within the grounds of the resort but only "heavy" beef type meals were available. The resort would be a good selection for guests seeking a "country club" atmosphere.

The resort and location is really nice. We enjoyed the resort and the hotel bar and lounge area is beautiful! Most of the hotel is maintained wonderfully but the carpet in the hallways and room could use a "refresh". It would be nice if there were a couple more restaurant choices at the resort so we would never have to leave the resort. All in all I would recommend this resort to all my friends.

Resort was gorgeous and the grounds were well maintained even in the off season. The pool was not heated - so a little chilly in the off season (December) when the sun was going down at 4:00. Grounds had an open concept gym and Pilate classes. The room was very clean and the bed was a dream - didnt want to leave. Room had a mini fridge which was key to save money of resort food like breakfast. Grocery store is a 5 minute drive from resort but not walkable. Room has ipod/iphone speaker dock. Go to The River to have a fun dinner, shopping and movie night. Rent a car and Drive to the Dessert Palm outlet mall - 20mins outside of Palm Springs. The only was to get around is by car - cabs are ridiculously expensive and it is a 1hr. 20minutes bus ride into Palm Springs. Parking at the resort is $25 a day.The Thursday night street festival in Palm Springs is fun and can find unique things. The off season does not cater to children so call ahead to be sure. The resort nails you with a $25 a day facility fee even if you do not use the facilities. Try arguing your way out of it if you feel it is unfair...worked for me. If you are going in the off season and there is any chance of over cast - you will be cold and it will not be tanning weather - golf yes, tanning no.

The resort is impeccably maintained and the staff are very professional and friendly. I would highly recommend the Miramonte Resort and Spa to family and friends. We thought the resort was new but one of the staff told us that the resort is 15 years old and was completely refurbished three years ago. The only issue with the room was the loud plumbing. I could hear when water was being used in the next hotel room. But, it wasn't a nuisance. I had a wonderful and relaxing massage (and that is coming from a massage snob). The Well spa has two small pools for spa guests. However, I found them to be noisy with groups of ladies chit-chatting. The adults-only pool at the rear of the resort is much more private and relaxing. I didn't even bother to go to the main pool. You will enjoy your stay at this resort! Plus, it's only a 7 minute drive away from El Paseo which is considered the Rodeo Drive of Palm Desert and has an abundance of shopping and restaurants.

The resort was nice, but the women wanted to go shopping which was about 30 miles away at Cabazon. It was really hot when we stayed and the room A/C barely kept up. I think it was 112 F degree outside. The pools were good and the kids enjoyed swimming. The restaurants on-site were good but a little pricey. There was an unexpected $25 per night per room resort fee. Valet parking was extra on top of the resort fee. Stay away from the ducks - do not let your kids try and pet them. There are a lot of them on the property.

There is no question that every dime they spent on the re-model last year was put to good use. Staying at this hotel was a unique experience - we felt like we stepped back in time and were catapulted in to the future all at once. The Riviera is a beautiful hip, trendy re-model of a Palm Springs classic, that has a very distinctive vibe, but......there are a few things you should be aware of up front: #1. – You will be charged a “resort fee” for each day of your stay on top of whatever you are paying for your room - even though, by Palm Springs standards, this is more of a “hotel with pool and spa” than an actual “resort with tennis, golf and/or other on-site recreation”. #2. – You have only 2 choices for parking: Valet or park on the street. Valet is a pain if you come & go a lot there is a daily flat rate + tip. (Although we always called ahead for our car and never had to wait.) Also, the Valet parking is NOT covered parking, so be prepared to fry if you are there in the summer or warmer months. #3. – Unless you are staying in a Junior Suite or higher, the rooms are quite small - especially in comparison to basic rooms at other resorts in town. Be prepared to kill your shins and stub your toes navigating your way around the king-sized beds, which practically fill-up the entire living space of the “Riviera King” rooms. However, if none of the above are issues for you, then believe me when I tell you that you will really enjoy your stay. The staff is friendly and the service quality is definitely resort-level. The pool area is lovely and you do feel as though you are at a resort when you are relaxing on the comfy loungers or socializing in the conversation/fire-pit areas. The grounds are well-landscaped and there are quiet places to sit and relax throughout. There is a restaurant on site as well as a couple of bar/lounge areas. They have meeting room/conference center facilities, but we did not see them. They do have a spa on the premises and while the treatment rooms are top-notch, the services are over-priced and there is an automatic gratuity added on to your tab. (This is a personal pet peeve of mine as I do not need to be reminded that the persons who provide the services should be tipped - also, if my initial inclination was to leave more than what was added, having the automatic gratuity appear on my bill makes me not want to tip more!) I was less than impressed by the women’s changing room/locker facilities (which were not well-stocked with personal care items, as is generally the case), the steam room - which was just plain scary, no sauna and the fact that there was only 1 shower - seriously! My guest commented that the men’s facility was equally unimpressive. For the most part, I did enjoy my stay and my guest said that he would stay there again. As I said in the beginning – the Riviera is a beautiful hip, trendy re-model of a Palm Springs classic, that has a very distinctive vibe, but……I left with reservations (no pun intended).

All in all a very nice hotel and apparently quite famous for providing a place to stay for the famous while in Palm Springs. One of the main features of this resort is the spa/gym. Even though it is not indicated on the website or in the literature, we were asked to pat $ 35/per person per day to use these facilities. A call to the office was met with a brusque reply about contractual arrangements with the spa management which is separate from Marriott. We replied that this was not relevant to the consumer, especially since there was no notice of the extra charges. No accommodation was made and we found the explanation inadequate and irrelevant.

Stellar service from start to finish. We accidentally arrived early so we had to wait for a room, but they called me back 15 minutes later for early check in. This resort only hires professionals, and excellence is obvious from management on down. Facilities were clean, clean clean; no loud kids running everywhere, no excuses by the desk staff, no trash blowing around the pool for 2 days like we found at Rancho Las Palmas. One spa wasn't working but the resort has 4 pools and other spas. The infinity pools were delicious, especially at dusk. The layout of the resort is sort of odd, resembling two rows of apartment houses, but there wasn't a speck of dirt, scuff or smudge anywhere, and quality showed in the details. While our room was sort of small, it was so well-designed and decorated, you still felt you were in a premium room, because you were. Love the kitchenette complete with dishes, glassware, cutlery, toaster, fridge and microwave. (I don't golf but my co-workers who do told me they liked it there, for what it's worth.) After being horribly treated at Rancho Las Palmas and Doral Princess and others, I was looking for things to criticize, but there never were any. I've never encountered a more professional, intelligent desk staff, ever. This went a long way towards making it a real resort experience where you could "leave your troubles behind" and feel at home. I've stayed at dozens of resorts in the Palm Springs area, and this was by far the best experience.

The resort itself was kept up very well with nice landscaping and an extremely friendly professional staff. Housekeeping had additional pillow and towels delivered to our room within 20 minutes. Kitch and fridge were very clean. Although there are pots, plates, glasses and utensils available, don't forget your skillet to cook up those eggs for breakfast. Parking is very limited close to the Palm Canyon area, so it worked out great that the resort offers secured gated underground parking. The resort is walking distance to eateries, the Palm Canyon strip, conveinence store and the Spa Casino. The unit is roomy with a walk in closet. It offers both a shower & tub. The large patio was a plus. We would definitely stay there again. Although there is a master bedroom, just know that the pull out sofa bed may not be very comfortable as an extra bed. I was there for a softbal tournament. The location was about 7 min to DeMuth Park.

We really loved this resort. I chose it for my boyfriend's B-day getaway because it has everything in one place: pool, pool bar, casino, dancing, restaurants, and entertainment. We were greeted very nicely, room was ready (early), and we received 2 complimentary tickets to a show which we wanted to see (tribute bands). Room and bathroom - great. Overall hotel is clean, fresh, new. We enjoyed the pool and lazy river. The little poolside beach is reserved for people who rent a cabana; bummer. Drinks were priced reasonably. Bufet was very good but not cheap. We were disapointed that drinks in the casino, while you gamble, are not free like they are in Vegas. The hotel and resort are a bit on a pricey side, so a comp drink would be almost expected. The tribute bands show was a lot of fun. The Vibe is a great little venue right inside the hotel. Restaurants in the hotel are a bit pricey. We do want to go back! And hopefuly find time to shop next door at the Cabazon outlets. There is no time to be bored here!

My family stayed at this resort for two nights and wish we had booked it for longer as it was a very relaxing place to stay. We had a Premium Villa which was very spacious with bedroom, living room, kithen and big bathroom with double shower and a jacuzzi bath. The king size bed was the most comfortable one we slept in. The pull out bed in the lounge was fine for the children. The kitchen was very well-equipped including dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. We were on the second floor with a balcony that had a gas barbecue. We were at the "Villa" end of the resort but also had access to the main hotel resort. However the villa end is so well equipped with pools, gym and restaurant that we didn't feel the need to make use of the hotel resort. The resort is huge with different swimming pools and we had one right near our villa with a lovely hot jacuzzi. We enjoyed swimming until late at night. The staff were very helpful on arrival and handed out maps of local shops and attractions. Telephone requests from the room were met promptly and courteously. There are also golf buggies that drive round the resort and pick you up from "Shuttle Stops" so you can be dropped off at various points. We ha a guided tour of the resort on a buggy and it is set in a lovely landscaped setting along with a golf course in the middle. The resort is very well laid out and we would definitely recommend this as a place to stay.

We were two families staying in two separate apartments and we were allocated ground floor apartments next to each other. The apartments are roomy and well equipped. We had two double bedrooms one ensuite bathroom and a main bathroom. There was also a pull out bed in the lounge which was very comfortable. The kitchen area was spacious and had everything we needed. There was a patio at the back, but it was a bit dark and gloomy though we did make use of the barbecue. The washing machine and drier are in the garage. The site is divided into cul de sacs with a pool for each block as well as the main pool. There are 8 pools in total. Two bikes are supplied with each property and we enjoyed riding around the site. There is also a gym on site and we enjoyed the jazzercise class which is held in the main pool twice a week. Useful tip: We would request an upstairs apartment away from the edge of the resort which backs onto the main road. Whenever I had to contact Reception for assistance, the response was very quick and Bart/Mark were particularly helpful. The Oasis is purely self-catered but there are plenty restaurants and supermarkets nearby. The Aerial Tramway is worth a visit and the street market in Palm Springs (Thursday evenings) has a good atmosphere. For families, this is a "no frills" resort but is good value for money and we would recommend it.

I booked my reservation online, sight unseen, as a surprise to my husband for his birthday. I knew from reviews that the neighborhood was bad and was relieved to find that, as others had said, the resort was truly like another world. As we entered the front door, peaceful music played and a very calm and friendly Travis greeted us and showed us around the resort and to our room. The room was great & the hot tub was just what the doctor ordered. The next morning, the entire atmosphere of the resort had transformed as tranquil Travis had been replaced by a woman with a loud, piercing voice who had a clutch of female friends around her at the front desk (sadly, I think she may be the owner). We went to Palm Springs for the day and when we returned at 3:45 in the afternoon, we discovered our room had not been cleaned, towels had not been replaced. When we brought it to the attention of this woman, she told us she had forgotten to have it cleaned and it would not be since the maid was leaving in 15 minutes. She made no apologies and no offer to make it right. I find her oversight to be a sign of incomptence; there were only 2 other rooms booked the night before. We were relieved when Travis came on shift that evening and the resort once again became peaceful. We had massages on sight (definitely ask for David!) that evening and Travis made sure we got robes and clean towels. Take advantage of the in-room fridge & fill it with snacks and drinks from home.

Overall nice stay. This resort is Timeshare by Wyndham and I've searched for the hotel information along with photos before I booked. I have to admit the photos of the rooms on the website must've been the pictures of their penthouse or suites.. My two beedroom suite certainly did not look what I expected. I've stayed many timeshare resorts but this two bedroom suite was on the smaller side (1 king bed and 2 twins). Fully equipped kitchen but not fancy (white appliances, no granite counter-top, etc..), bathrooms are not upgraded... true 3 star quality. But my boys ages, 8 and 4 loved the resort. Our room was situated at ground floor near by the children's pool, play ground and water splash zone. They enjoyed walking around the resort, which is beautifully landscaped. Overall, it was alright but I'm not sure if I want to go back but my boys are begging me to take them back. I guess the hotel is alright for the families...
