Great rooms, exceptional service. Beautiful views. The only consideration with this property is the location. It's 25 minutes to Patong and the taxi costs 1,400 round trip or about $42. It really starts to add up tima and money if you go back and forth. If you just stay at the resort it's really nice. The property does show a bit of it's 20 year age and the rooms can be a long walk from the elevators; overal, the room itself makes up for any deficiencies.

It was nice to go somewhere that truly exceeded our expectations. The resort was amazing in all aspects- food, choice of activities, pools, beach, service and the room. I have never encountered a friendlier, more welcoming group of people than at this resort. It was a wonderful experience and we will be back again! The one point to consider is that the resort is a good 45-60 minutes away from town, bigger beaches and the marina- if you are planning on staying put and enjoying all the resort has to offer, it is a perfect choice.

We enjoyed staying at this hotel, it is at the back of the resort so very quiet, the staff are really helpful and friendly. There is a courtesy bus to the beach ( 4 mins) but no lift back. WE walked back, it is not far really, you can get a taxi for baht200 which we thought a little expensive for the distance, it only cost us baht600 to get to the airport( 45 min drive) There are some good restaurants close by. We enjoyed relaxing by the pool, very quiet and secluded. Nice to visit the busy resort but lovely to come back out again!

My wife and I stayed here a few nights as part of our honeymoon. We were a little concerned when we first arrived because the entrance is off an old, sketchy "road". Fortunately, the hotel itself is very nice and the rooms are great, but privacy is somewhat lacking; the villa porches look out at each other and part of the shower wall (that other people occasionally walk past) is partially see-through at night. The receptionist staff were polite, but no one who worked for the resort/spa were as friendly as the most miserable person we saw in all the rest of Phuket/Thailand. They seemed unhappy with their job, which we attributed to them having to deal with obnoxious people (the majority of the people staying there). However, the staff was still nicer than what you would find in a place like New York City. The breakfast buffet was not very good and had few options. We also ate dinner there during their special "Thai Night". Unfortunately, we had better and more authentic Thai food at a local tex-mex bike stop for less than half what we paid at the resort. At the spa, I got the Golden Tulip Deluxe massage, while my wife got a head and foot massage. In both cases the massages were painful, despite repeated requests to use less pressure. When my wife asked the masseuse to avoid certain locations, they would concentrate on those locations instead. Shortly after the massage, we both developed rashes. The spa was nice enough to provide us with antihistamines when we went to talk to them. Overall, the atmosphere was unpleasant. There are multiple agents going around trying to sell time shares for the resort (they are going private) and most of the other guests when we stayed there were impolite. Lastly, the resort offers a free shuttle to a nearby beach. The scenery is beautiful, but the beach is overcrowded and incredibly touristy. There are so many great beaches in Phuket and many have little to no people at them; you are better off going elsewhere.

Fantastic Resort. Friendly staff who are only to willing to assist in any way they can. Extremely clean rooms and only right across the road from the beach. Great location without he hustle and bustle. Would stay here again anytime.

Had read some reviews which made us second guess staying here but found the resort and staff to be great. The views from the room made the hikes up the hill to our room worth it but usually the shuttle service was available. The prices for items in the resort were a bit high but there is a store within two minutes walk from the hotel so we just picked up whatever we wanted there. Would definitely stay here again. It was the perfect hotel to end our trip to Thailand.

We arrived at the resort expecting a great deal. The resort has 3 pools which are all stunning, with waterfall cascading over the edge with the seaview as the backdrop. The resort also has a natural waterfall and the landscaping surrounding this was awesome. The free breakfast was almost too good. Dining by the pool for breakfast, lunch or dinner were all wonderful. The hotel room (deluxe seaview) was nice enough, but not quite up the standard of the public areas, but quite nice all the same. A few little maintenance issues let it down, but for the price and the size of the resort you cannot complain too much. The resort was a little out of the way but this is why we booked it. They offer free rides to the local beach every hour and rides in Patong twice a day. I thought the location was perfect.

The location is perfect...just up the hill, about 5 minute walk from the beach (not to mention the feel safe away from the water in case something bad happens). It is right in between Kata and Karon, which makes it so easy to shop, eat, and pick one of the 2 beaches to spend the day on. The breakfast was good; the service was excellent; they have a fire show and a Thai Boxing show once a week plus a buffet - it's definitely worth the money. The only somewhat bad thing about the resort was the internet...I thought there would be a in-room connection, but you actually have to go to the restaurant or the bar to use it; also, it's wireless, so if there is bad weather then the connection will be week. I'd say that if you don't care for the comfort of checking your email on your laptop while you're having breakfast, then go across the street for other internet needs - it's much cheaper. (yes, you have to pay 750 baht for 10 hours, or other plans) Overall, this was an amazing place and I definitely recommend it.

The Resort is labelled 5-star and I think that is just about holds that rating - although soon the rooms will need to be decorated/re-vamped as they are getting rather dog-eared. Ostensibly, money needs to be spent upgrading the rooms - we stayed in a Grand Suite on the Thani Wing. All resort grounds well kept; pools great; proximity to the sea was also superb, right on the beach. Fitness centre was good, recreation room for the children (I took two boys aged 9 and 11). Food on the whole was okay/good although apart from the Buffet Breakfast and lunch as the beach bar, we never dined 'in-house' for dinner. The biggest let-down to me was the wireless Internet connection. Firstly, we stayed for 5 days and were told we could book hourly, daily or a 15 day pass. We asked if we could book a 5 day or a week pass and were told 'no'. So we bought a 15 day pass at the cost of 900 Baht - cheaper than the daily version of 200 Baht a day. But that wireless Internet connection in the room was totally unreliable and being a businessman that has to work whilst on vacation, I was constantly calling reception to get the IT people to call the providers to reset the router. This was agonising and happened 2-3 times a day. On our morning of departure, I happened to need to work at 5am online and could not for love nor money get online. I called reception and the receiptionist just wearily said he would just speak to someone .... and then promptly put the phone down on me. I went all the way to reception at 5am with my laptop, showed him and the duty manager that it would not connect to the Wifi and explained that they MUST get wifi access for me as my work was most urgent. They said they would call the IT people. 15 minutes later I had wireless access in the room and submitted my work at 7.30am - a little over an hour past the schedule. So if you want a hotel that is 5 star (just), superb grounds and location, very relaxing in most respects, then this resort would be for you. But if in any way, shape or form you need to use wireless access in your room for any type of business, urgent or not, I'm afraid this would frustrate you enormously and you are probably better off looking for another resort. For the sole reason of the Internet Access and the attitude of the receptionist on our last morning when trying to deal with lack of Internet access, I'm afraid we would not stay at this resort again - which is a shame because most other aspects of the resort were fine.

Diligent staff, great facilities and a beautiful building...... its difficult to fault the Marriott at Surin Beach. Staff were genuinely helpful, professional and very friendly. The Marriott is a modern, western style resort hotel, but classy in an unpretentious way. Moderately expensive by Phuket terms but not exorbinant. Surin is a small, upmarket beach.... although the hotel was surprisingly busy with families. Great place.

We had 7 nights at the resort from 12th September. Whilst it is small resort (15)villas, the grounds were large and each villa was secluded with privacy. All Villas faced the beach and had fantastic views of the Similan Islands. The staff were enthusiastic and very service orientated which reflects on good management. The resort offered most enjoyable meals all day and apart from a tour and an island visit we were happy to eat and stay at that resort. They have a good happy hour and free Thai Tea in the afternoons. If you are looking for a place to totally relax amongst some of the world's finest scenery of Granite Islands then this resort will not disappoint as will a visit to Ko Hong which is absolutely an amazing island directly opposite the resort. The Island of Yao Noi is well worth taking a tour to see and experience the rural aspect of Thai life with fishing, rubber and rice along with coconuts and pineapples. A mention is appropriate about the accommodation which is not air conditioned. Initially we were concerned but we found that the overhead fans worked well due to the design of the building which is based on the original Thai style for that area. We were most comfortable and found that the monsoon season was enjoyable with rain mostly in the evenings. What we did not miss was no TV or windows. We will enjoy returning as we rate the resort and its location to the Similan islands as one of the best we have seen in SE Asia.

The D resort (too hard to spell) is a very big, very nice resort in sleazy Patong. I was surprised with how many families were there considering that Patong is, well, Patong. But the resort itself is very nice and the pool is one of the coolest I've ever seen. The food at the hotel was good and the staff went out of their way to arrange things such as having a moped dropped off and picked up for me at the hotel. My only complaint is that they definitely 'nickel and dime' you on certain things such as charging $15 for replacement of your electronic key. There are also unneccessary hassles required to do things like get a beach towel (have to sign in and out) and go to the resort gym (get a gym pass).

This Resort & Spa is ideal if you want to get away from the noise of the beach and escape from the rest of the tourist. It has an amazing view from the main pool which is infity style. The best part of the pool is that there is a section with a build in bed for you to sun bathe but still be cool in the water. The room I had had a great view with pleanty of room and space. If you want to go down town the best way is to get in a loca taxi or rent a scooter, that is just outside of the hotel entrance.

it depends what you re there for--- if its family or couples retreat or you love hotsprings, you cant go wrong; but if you want to party, this place is not for youu as title suggested, its quite far from township from phuket and the beaches there- 45min- 1hr and a taxi ride of around $25-30 its also isolated in a compound by the ocean, will need own transport- the resort does hv free ride to grocery or nearby very relaxing, hot springs are awesome, too bad it closes at 10p; can watch the sundown over ocean on deck, the compound it self its like a park w natural canals and wetlands connected to ocean

This resort turned out to be exactly as it looks in its pictures (which doesn't always happen). Its very modern - clean white spaces are very pleasing to the eye. Its a great place for two people to get away and spend alone time. There is not much else to the island, but there are two other small resorts of lesser quality. These do provide other food options to the Racha. 40 minute boat trip to get to island can be bouncy.

This was a wonderful hotel. The location was perfect: right across the road from Karon Beach. Our room was stylish and clean. We were very happy. The hotel spa was amazing; my sister and I received the best aromatherapy massages we've ever had. It was pure heaven. The free breakfast buffet was delicious and convenient. The swimming pool was beautiful and enticing; we could have stayed there all day. The staff was friendly and helpful, and recommended a great hillside restaurant for a sunset dinner. The Woraburi Resort was wonderful, and I can't wait to return to that little slice of island paradise.

Would absolutely recommend this resort for couples - it is as advertised - a perfect romantic getaway. Service: Upon arrival, JC, the hotel manager, greeted us at the lobby and came by at breakfast to say hi. We were in town to attend a wedding and the hotel was kind enough to offer us complimentary transportation by private car back and forth to a nearby hotel about 10 minutes away. It was a major perk given the notorious Phuket taxi mafia. Room: We were taken to our Spa and Pool Pavilion which had an amazing view of the laguna (although not the more attractive view of the ocean). The room looked exactly as it did online. For 3 days we relaxed and watched DVDs. Before we left, we visited the Ocean View Villas and although they had better views, my wife and I agreed that the huge sofas in the Spa and Pool Pavilions (where we spent the bulk of our time) were superior to the "regular" sofas in the Ocean View Villas. Food: We ate at the restaurant 3 times and also had room service 3 times. Food was very good, and although it was hotel level prices, we didn't feel ripped off since the quality was up to par. Would recommend the burger and fish taco. The Banh Mi sandwich and Thai food was also very good. Breakfast consisted of a buffet spread and also a menu where you can order Thai and Western breakfast items (i.e. eggs benedict, pancakes, waffles etc). One tip is that they need to cover their buffet food with nets. They did so on the second day we were there, but not the first and on both mornings there were no nets on the fruit which had a lot of flies buzzing around. This didn't bother me but I know many people would not eat it. Unfortunately we did not get to check out the 360 Bar & Restaurant since we did not eat dinner at the Pavilions. There is complimentary afternoon tea in the Library (3:00-4:30pm) which had a very simple spread but very good iced tea. Spa: We didn't get to use the special spa room unfortunately. The spa prices were comparable to 5 star hotels (US$100-200 per treatment). Housekeeping: The only constructive criticism is that housekeeping needs a bit of work. Turndown service only focused on the bed and left the living room and bathroom messy. On the second night, there was no turndown service, so the room wasn't cleaned the entire day. It was not entirely their fault, because some pool cleaners had accidentally entered our room thinking it was empty and were shocked to find us sitting in the living room (fortunately, we were fully clothed). Apparently, they entered because we neglected to lock the door after room service left (so definitely lock your door!). But they were very apologetic and activated our do not disturb sign which was the reason we did not get turn down service that night. The next morning we asked housekeeping to clean our room while we were away for breakfast but by the time we returned (45 minutes later) they had not started yet. Overall, I would highly recommend this place and the housekeeping issues did not detract from our stay at all. Just some constructive input for the hotel to better themselves. A big thank you to JC and his staff for a wonderful 3 day stay. Room Tip: If you are staying in a Spa and Pool Pavilion, choose rooms 40-45 which are the pavilions at the very top of the hill. The benefits are: better views of the laguna, better privacy and not having to walk up and down to access your room and not having to use the funicular. For the record, privacy is very good in general but if you are not at the top of the hill, the room located directly above you will have a partial view of your sundeck (just a small portion of it right beside the sala, if guests chose to stand at the same spot on their sundeck and looked down on your sundeck).

Stayed at the Pacific Club for 5 nights in a nice room on the 4th floor ( Great view of the ocean). Room was very nice , comfortable bed and spacious. Amenities were excellent including the roof top pool and the herbal steam room and spa on the ground floor, these were available up to midnight each day at no extra charge. Location was good just a 5-10 min walk down to Karon Beach. We had a spa service on our last day and my husband had a thai massage with Lilly, which he got great benefit from. Only thing that we felt let this resort down was the reception staff and the restaurant evening food.(Breakfast good) We enquired about a late check out on our arrival and was advised to check on our departure day as they hotel was fully booked. We found that there willingness to help with this wasn't visible . Finally got a late check out on the last day but we were made to feel that this was a great inconvenience for them but we only needed an extra hour til 1.00pm. Enquired about hiring a motor scooter for the next day and the girl at reception seemed very uninterested in making this enquiry. Our other problem was with the vegetarian food that they have on the menu. It was disgusting, no other way to describe it. My husband had spinach & cheese canelloni and it came out tasteless , dry and it appeared that it was frozen then heated in a microwave before serving. My dish, vegetarian lasagna was also tasteless therefore we did not have any other evening meals in the hotel restaurant.

Mission Hills is one of the best resorts I have ever had the pleasure of staying at. The golf course there is one of the best in the world...it's like playing a private course at a public price. The condition of the course is unbeatable! The only downside is it is a little out of the way. If you are looking for a quiet beautiful resort you can't beat it. If you want to be where the action is and you like night life and bars you'll do better closer to the beach.

Off the beaten track, this resort is a great get-away from crowds and commercialism in Phuket. Isolated from even the nearby town of Khao Lak, the hotel is on the Andaman Sea along an otherwise deserted long stretch of beach. Access to town is available by regularly scheduled group taxi, although the rate is fixed and high by Thai standards. Service in hotel is great. Staff is very pleasant. Restaurants are entirely fine although not fine dining experiences. Two pools were great. Hotel was happy to arrange excursions. No nightlife to speak of, but I would return right away to enjoy a beautiful escape back to nature.

I stayed at Thara Patong with my partner for 5 nights in a deluxe room in the Dolphin Wing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here as the resort itself, rooms and pool were all very clean and well maintained. The resort restaurant was also very nice, quality of food was very good and price was average. Location of the resort was also great as it's a 2 min walk from Patong beach and 5 min walk to bangla road. Overall we really enjoyed our stay at this resort and would definately stay again if back in Phuket.

Would totally recommend this hotel. Position was great at end of Karon Beach, walking distance to some great restaurants, shops and markets. Much quieter than Patong Beach but this was perfect and only 15min in a "tuk tuk" when you felt like the hustle and bustle. Would totally recommend upgrading to Pool Access room, 2 steps straight off your own balcony into the pool, so great in the humid weather after a shopping session. Swim up to the pool bar and have a nice cocktail or beer! Buffet breakfast nice but not much variety. A steep walk up the hill to rooms but friendly staff always ready to give you a lift up on back of resorts buggies. Would definitely stay here again.

The resort itself is perfectly situated. However, the furniture in room is old and smelly. The whole room is outdated and so is the decor.The rooms are poorly cleaned, swept with an old room, our bathroom curtain had mould on it. Dust in the draws of the wardrobe. I don't think the beds have been changed for 20years, and you notice is sleeping on them. Breakfast was good, but not much selection for westerners, the same fruits and the same featured chinese style breakfast:congee and dim sims. Overall you are paying for the central position, as far as the hotel goes it's below a 3 star, WELL BELOW.

Location of this hotel is great, you only have to walk down a few steps and you're on the beach. Pool area is located overlooking the beach. Breakfast was ok - great omelette station but would have liked a greater selection of cereals and the option of skim milk or low fat. Staff are very friendly and polite. Shops and restaurants are all in walking distance with plenty of taxis and tuk tuks to take you wherever you go. Highly recommend staying at this resort.

Everything about this resort was great from check-in to check-out. The food, entertainment, facilities, pool, room, service and staff, all good we didn't want to leave. Buffet breakfast was very good, a lot of variety. We used taxi guys at the front of the resort across the road, highly recommend. The resort has its own stretch of beach with banana chairs, umbrellas and towels for your use for free, loved it and beach is beautiful. We went off peak, best time to go. Would definitely come back here.

Overall we were really happy with our stay. The hotel is quite well located near Karon and Kata beaches. There is good access to shopping and retaurants and Patong beach is also only 10 minutes away by scooter or car. We requested that we be moved to another room after our first night. We weren't happy with the first room as it was on the bottom floor and was located at the back of the resort. The room appeared to be a bit musty and was dark. Our request was dealt with professionally. We were supplied keys to an alternative room on the 3rd floor which had a balcony which overlooked the resort grounds and also overlooked the main pool to one side. We were very happy with our room from this point onwards. Checking in and out of the resort was easy. We ate breakfast at the resort daily and found the menu to be good apart from the lack of bacon as an option at the buffet. Apart from this we had a couple of lunches by the pool which were good value. We mostly ate our dinners away from the resort as we often spent our time exploring the island and dined away based on convenience and what we fealt like eating that night.

One of the best hotels we stayed in during a 2 week trip to Thailand. It was SO relaxing and beautiful. Make sure you take a boat in to the resort from the pier, we took the road and it's a pretty rough ride. Looking forward to going back sometime in the near future. Will recommended to all my friends. Also, the spa is amazing!!

The staff and service were very good at the hotel and the room was nice, if a bit older. My bed comforter had stains all over it but they replaced it once I said something. The shower design might be a bit better to keep water from going everywhere but fine. Plenty of closet space and the bed was large and comfy. Had a great view from the top floor and they had drying racks on the wall on the balcony which helped me quite a bit as I brought my own scuba diving equipment and it needed to dry out. The staff surprised me with a birthday cake (I did not tell them it was my birthday) in the fridge so that was a nice touch. Internet access was expensive if you were not staying at the higher end rooms. Pools were very nice and the hotel just a short walk to the beach and main street running along Karon Beach. Very close to Kata Beach as well. They had very good security throughout the resort as well. Overall I was very happy with the resort.

Great resort with very friendly staff from the moment we arrived nothing is to much trouble, resort is in a great location in Patong in very busy area but no noise was heard at all in rooms., Cannot recommend more highly.

Secret Cliff was a GEM! We found our resort on Expedia for at least $15 dollars less per night than what the hotel quoted us, so that was a bonus. The views from the resort's restaurant are fabulous, as was the view from our Ocean-view deluxe room. I would recommend being on the second floor (the views are better). We loved the location - right in between Karon and Patong Beaches, because it was quiet and private. The pool was beautiful and we watched the sunset while swimming. The hotel staff were all very pleasant, polite, and accommodating. The room itself was absolutely lovely and the bed was very comfortable. The only thing we didn't love was the shower which was a little strange to get used to. We would highly recommend Secret Cliff to anyone going to Phuket, and would definitely stay there again, ourselves!

This resort was lovelt to stay at, we felt ever so welcomed as the people there are so friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable and always kept tidy. Would definiteky recommed this hotel if your looking for a comfy cosy stay.

i like the fact that it was a smaller resort & didn't get too crowded it was walking distance to the beach and centre had supermarkwts close by & laundry service (not that i used it) but lucky enough it had a cafw close by which they made the best cappuccino & pancakes. i can't complain i will go there again.

On arrival we were upgraded to view room. However the noise of the night clubs kept us awake well into the early hours of the morning. After getting now where with the staff on the desk I asked for the manager who moved us to the other side of the resort. This room was nice and quite, however it did have a bad smell I think it came from the plants in the water near the pool. The rooms were clean and new. The resort is right in the thick of everything if you enjoy that type of holiday.

Malisa is a relatively small boutique hotel with about 40 villa suites each with their own plunge pool, outdoor sitting area and outdoor kitchen and dining area as well as large bedroom and huge bathroom with spa bath and separate shower. It was relatively quiet during the day the only problem being a pool in the resort property next door to malisa and behind our villa which got a bit noisy with kids one day. Very quiet at night. The nice touch is they come and cook your breakfast when you want it in your own outdoor kitchen and you sit outside eating it, which at this time of the year is really great. They come back an hour later and take away all the breakfast stuff and wash the dishes and put everything away. You can also get dinner done the same way, but we did not do that. The only problem we had was the wifi barely worked and kept dropping out. The tech came to fix it but 10 minutes after he left and it was back to its pathetic normal again. We had dinner in their restaurant one night and while the food was excellent and reasonably priced, the service was very slow and there were only 2 occupied tables in the restaurant. Its a 10 min walk to the beach and 5 to the main street with hundreds of restuarants and bars to choose from. Happy to go back- very enjoyable and relaxing 3 days.

I wasn't expecting much for paying such a low rate per night when I booked my Thailand get away last minute... However, the Sugar Palm Resort exceeded my expectations! Not only was the room decorated clean and contemporary, but we had a television and a selection of DVD to choose from. The breakfast buffet (an small extra) is completely worth it. We had omelets and fresh fruit everyday. The tours were also easy to set up in the lobby area.

We just returned from 6 nights at the Village. Some construction at the resort, compensated with 20% discount on facilities prices. Construction not a major issue - some noise, power cuts, water outages, but 2 pools open, tennis courts open and Spa open. Hotel has 2 restaurants: The Deli (specialising in western (italian) food) and the Tamarind (More local food). Breakfast served at the The Tamarind. The Tamarind ambience could be improved - cheap furnishings, paper napkins, food exposed to heat/flies. Quality is good however. The Deli - nicer ambience than Tamarind, better quality furnishings, and a finer dining experience. Sadly, the better restaurant of the two, is not the one serving Thai food. Still some minor service issues - paper napkins that don't gel with the 5* experience. No air conditioned dining space at the resort. The Village accommodations seem great - we stayed in a Jacuzzi suite as a complimentary upgrade for our Wedding anniversary. Accommodation was of good quality. Minor issues with water outages and power outages, room safe was too small, and bed not as large as in some deluxe rooms in Thailand. However, no major complaints. The location is a bit of an enigma. The location is great for those looking to get away from it all, as although there is a boat service to shuttle you on and off the island at your convenience (very good), it gets you to the mainland in a location that is an expensive taxi ride from anywhere you might wish to visit. There is a very good seafood restaurant at Laem Hin pier, but anything else would require a minimum 800Baht round trip taxi ride. Given the lack of ambience in the Tamarind, we felt that eating at the Laem Hin Seafood restaurant suited our needs better. Living on an Island also has some other disadvantages - the resort prices for food and drink were amongst the highest we experienced in Thailand during out 2 weeks touring; similarly the mini-mart prices suffered from Island pricing too. So, isolation, but at a price. On the upside, the resort has some great facilities - not least the complimentary Dingy sailing, with some great staff that will help you learn to sail from a quite reasonable resort beach. Service levels at the resort were generally good, but not up to the higher standards we experienced elswhere. Members of staff were trying to tout us Tour trips cheaper than the advertised Resort prices, forgot to collect us and our bags for our Airport transfer so we had to walk with bags in the heat to reception in order to catch the boat on time. Some staff seemed to be confused as to their role or how to serve in the restaurant appropriately (a little too over-enthusiastic at clearing plates for example). Overall the value for money of the accommodation was excellent but this was offset by the high prices in the resort and the cost of getting anywhere you might want to visit in the evening. We would definitely return, but would come with a greater "get away from it all" mindset than we had this time. If you want to tour Phuket, it's got some limits.

This was our 2nd stay at the Metadee and it was as good as the first, the location is within a short walk of the beach and many restaraunts, shopping and convienince stores. The resort is set well back from the road which makes it a quiet sanctuary away from any hustle and bustle. We had booked a poolside room but were upgraded to a poolside villa, it is so nice to be able to jump directly into the pool from your room, the pool is beautiful it winds all the way through the resort, the gardens a lush and well cared for. There is only one restaraunt on site which does a great breakfast and a tasty meal, even if it is a bit more expensive than other restaraunts out on the street. This does appear to be more of a couple resort with very little for children to do, so l would recommend it to couples. We will definitley return to this resort.

The Hotel was amazing!!! The grounds are just gorgeous & the staff are absolutely fantastic. We could not have asked for more. We travelled to Khao Lak and stayed at the Marriott for 9 nights with our 15 month old son. He was treated like a King (as were we) the whole time we were there. There was a porta-cot set up in our room on arrival and the car that picked us up from the airport had a baby car seat fitted. By the 2nd day most of the staff knew our son's name and were doting on him day & night. The breakfast was divine. There were cooked foods, a smoothie bar, fresh fuits and breads, omlette's made on request. Each morning the staff would play/look after our boy while we enjoyed a lovely breakfast looking out over the beach. I cannot say enough about how friendly, helpful, accommodating, and just wonderful the staff were. Each day they went out of their way to make sure everything for our stay was just perfect. The facilities at the resort were excellent. There is a supermarket in town were you can get most of the essentials from home you would need including nappies, wipes, snacks, bread, beer etc. The hotel restaurants were great - especially 'Olive'. More expensive than the local ones but worth it for the experience. There are 2 great restaurant/massage places just down the beach from the resort which you have to try at least once while you're there - great food and lovely people. Overall an excellent resort (for familes & couples alike) and we can't wait to return!

I have nothing but praises about Paresa. They resort is beautiful; the customer service is remarkable and the views are memorable. Everyone that we encountered was very helpful and accomodating. I had my reservations when we initially planned our honeymoon, but all reservations were erased once we arrived. We stayed at Paresa for our honeymoon, and I am certainly glad that we did. The only complaint that we had was house keeping. It's the not the cleaning that I am complaining about.The cleaning was impeccable. It's they way they announced themselves. They would knock on the door, and within two seconds if no response they would yell "room service". Considering that we came from a different time zone that is 11 hours behind, there would be times where we were knocked out sleeping, only to be awaken by room service. My recommendation is to change the way they announce themselves. But overall, I throughly enjoyed Paresa. I give it a 10/10. Paradise in Phuket!

stayed in Karon cliff for four days. hotel has friendly staff and is in a lovely location overlooking the beach and surrounded by gardens. room itself was basic - adequate but not much more. shower didn't work properly and was a bit dirty. lots of insects and lizards found their way in the room during the night which is probably to be expected in thailand but could have done without it! if you want somewhere in a nice resort for a decent price, then stay here. if you're looking for luxury then definitely go elsewhere.

The view from the Hotel Lobby is post-card perfect. Ideal for couples seeking some alone time together with an awesome view from each room in the resort. However for those wanting to look at surrounding areas, its a 10-15min walk to Kamala Beach (highly recommend Dreams). At night there is not much to do, with the only non-resort restaurant nearby White Orchid. Though some people have recommended it, I found the food to be above average though 20-30% more dearer than the restaurants on the beach. A highlight was the daily hotel bus going to Patong (To 5.30pm and back 10pm) though you need to book 3-4 days beforehand at reception as there are only 10 spots available each day. Overall I would give Cape Sienna 4 stars out of 5, simply because of the modern rooms and picture perfect view. But for those wanting to explore, the location is a bit of a nuisance.

Our stay at the Laguna Outrigger Hotel was nothing short of sensational. The hotel room was an actual "LUXURY" two bedroom apartment completely outfitted with anything we could want in a temporary dwelling. The service staff and hotel employees were always helpful and tended to all aspects of our stay with a beaming smile and genuine warmth. The cleanliness and maintenance of the entire facility was unparalleled with anyplace I've been previously. The grounds were immaculately maintained and had a huge outdoor pool that was always perfectly clean and welcoming. The restaurant served a daily breakfast buffet that was exceptional in its freshness and taste. Lunch and Dinner at our resort or nearby other Laguna Property resorts was equally on par with all aspects of our stay. This was an outstanding value and provided for a peaceful and rejeuvenating vacation.

A beautiful "New" resort, the staff were just amazing. Rooms were spacious and clean with good facilities. The pool was one of the best atributes of the resort. Food and dining was fair, there are certaily better and cheaper options outside of the resort, breakfast was very good with a great variety of international and local foods. Unfortunately we were a little dissapointed that some of the international guests entertained some local women and made it quite uncomfortable for a family with young children. The hill that the resort sits upon would be very stroller unfriendly as would be the multi layered resort. Probably not a resort for children under 5. (Ours were 13 and 11)

My wife and I booked the Vijitt in Rawai for the first week of our honeymoon in Thailand. We booked an ocean front villa, which was absolutely incredible. From the moment we arrived, we knew we were in paradise. The front desk emloyees helped us very much throughout our stay, with bookings of outings and other requests. The resort is totally peaceful, with the infinity pool, and spa services. Although there are 95 or so villas available, the resort never felt busy. The pool was absolutely wonderful !! It is an enormous infinity pool, with several other wading levels above it. The pool is probably 50 meters long, by 20 meters wide, with black tiles and black granite. We enjoyed dipping in the pool when the sun got too hot for lounging. We ate at both restaurants offered at the resort. The Baan Vijitt is the original families home, offering authentic Thai food in or outdoors around the koy pond overlooking the ocean. The Savoury is the main restaurant, where both Thai and international cuisine is served all day long, along with the great breakfast buffet. We befriended servers named Tham and Keng at The Savoury and enjoyed interacting with them every day. The resort offers several day trips to local malls, and beaches, which was an added bonus. This was the best hotel stay we've ever experienced and I will recommend this resort to anyone looking for a quiet romantic place to stay in Phuket. Definitely not a party resort which is exactly what we wanted to avoid.

Fantastic place! Beautiful, upscale, "boutique", brand new resort & spa. Breakfast buffet was amazing (fresh juices, eggs/omelettes made to order, waffle station, fresh Thai noodle dishes, espresso), located overlooking a serene lagoon. Terrific staff, very accommodating & friendly. Very beautiful spa. When the resort manager found out I was looking for some shopping ideas, he sent a handwritten note with a list of shopping places to our room! Pool villa was divine, very private. Spa was absolutely beautiful, my husband went every day. Would absolutely stay there again. I was recovering from a broken foot and couldn't walk very far so the hotel was happy to send a golf cart to pick us up at our room and drive us to breakfast every day.

My husband and I decided to splurge and book a villa at The Shore. It was the most amazing resort we have ever had the pleasure to stay at! The room was exceptional with beautiful views and lovely attention to detail. The service was also tremendous and the location right on Kata Beach was perfect! You will not be disappointed!

We stayed at apk for two weeks as it seemed to be the best or one of the best value resorts overall in patong. the staff were very friendly and helpful our room was clean the bed king size and comfortable air con was great. tried the food at the restaurant few times but the food wasn't that good but reasonably priced. Was short walk to the biggest mall on the island though and plenty of restaurants nearby as well as traditional Thai food. Overall had great time there and no problems at all. roof top pool wad different and had onsite massage which was handy and reasonably priced. would staunch there again for the right price
