I travelled to this resort with my wife and 5 year old son and can only rave of this resort. We had an incredible stay and found the room to be perfect with every amenity possible. We stayed at the Oceanview studio and can tell you it was big and luxurious. The bathroom has plenty of room along with a shower and bathtub. The kitchenette is top of the line with enough to get you through you trip. The beach is spectacular and the resort crew caters to your every need. This resort has just recently open so it is not as popular, but it is perfectly located in town to many eateries. A perfect place for a luxurious getaway.

We had such a wonderful experience at the Regent Grand that I just had to share. If you are thinking about a luxurious, quiet get-away, this is the place for you. From the moment we walked outside the airport, we were picked up in a private taxi and started our adventure. Once we arrived, the staff was willing to do whatever we needed to make us feel like we were the only guests at the resort. The front desk didn't hesitate to upgrade our already beautiful suite! We had a fabulous oceanview suite with two bedrooms, two baths, a media room, and a fully equipment stocked kitchen...which came in handy when we went to the local market and picked up breakfast and lunch meals. The beach is as outstanding as everyone says! We had so much fun walking for miles and miles without ever seeing another soul. We had a blast exploring the local eateries---at a price---but well worth it! The only place I would suggest you don't go, is the Conch Farm. I am all about supporting the local businesses (of which their are not many) but this was a waste of 10 minutes---better to check it out online...or if you go, make sure the taxi driver doesn't leave! This is not a quick, cheap get-away but it is well worth the extra! I would highly recommend the Regent Grand.

Me and my wife went to Windsong for our honeymoon, it was outstanding - The one bedroom suite was simply AMAZING - we didn't want to leave it. The view of the ocean was amazing, and the beach was wonderful, never enjoyed the ocean as much as I did in Turks & Caicos, something about the water - you just have to experience it for yourself - and there is a reef right on the beach that is amazing to experience if you've never done it before - and you can rent the snorkels for $5 from the resort, pretty good deal considering everything else on the island is expensive... but you must experience it if you go. The beach was fairly quiet, aside from people walking over to reef from other resorts, but it was barely enough for us to really notice any "traffic" and the resort had ample seating available at all times. The staff was great, very friendly and helpful - they even gave us a complimentary spa treatment at the on-site spatropique. And we didn't want to drive so we used the taxi, and the Windsong has Lige working his taxi out of the resort, he is great - always dependable and makes sure he gets you back to the resort at night - all you have to do is give him a call. All in all, we were very pleased in our decision with the Windsong for our honeymoon - we LOVED it, and so will you.

Overall, the resort is very nice. Good reception, nice rooms, great beach, etc. But as you stay there, and if you are picky about rating something 5 stars, then clearly this resort isn't it. The service is spotty. Sometimes the resort addressed your needs, other times they just disregard it. That alone detracts from 5 stars. For example, our iron was broke and we requested 3 times for it to be replaced. Finally on the last day they delivered it. Also at the restaurant, we seemed to always get less items than we ordered. if we ordered 4 apps, we got 2 or 3. weird... the main feature that detracts from the 5 star rating is the bed. not comfortable at all. Again, for a 3-4 star ranking, this resorts falls at 3.25-3.50. 5 star resorts always have first class mattresses. this means regardless of your body type, weight, etc., all people will sleep like babies. I am mid size guy and my wife is pretty small. both of us had massive back pains after each morning. again, overall, this place was excellent, but not 5 stars
