The location of the Railay Bay resort is fantastic; the pool and restaurant face onto west Railay beach- a stunning setting. The hotel itself is nice; the food is good and very reasonable and the spa is good value. Unfortunately there was building work going next to restaurant when we were there, which detracted someone or the peaceful nature of the resort, but did not spoil our experience. The rooms are large, but as with other places we have stayed in Thailand not as clean as they possibly could be. We stayed in the cheapest room type (Bungalow), which are on the East side of Railay; closer to the restaurants and bars, but not as picturesque. The resort itself is very ramshackle, and set up for back packers, but very charming and incredibly cheap. I would definitely recommend Railay as a great place to visit.

Although more centrally based in Railay (rather than on the beach front), its such a small resort that it doesn't matter and being slightly tucked behind the main beach front gives the hotel a more secluded private feel. The hotel staff were all friendly and the rooms were comfortable, clean and had everything you need. Excellent value for money
