Room registration was slow and confusing. Young employee had trouble finding reservation even with confirmation number, appeared to be a lack of training. Internet service on TV is very poor and difficult to use, no instructions or directions in room. Use of personal laptop costs an additional $5.95 resort fee per day on top of original resort fee. Reno city charges an additional $2.00 for City Capital Project fee. Buffet staff were excellent.

The rooms were huge! Hotel service in every department from front desk, room service, to the sundry shops was excellent. The restaurants offered inside of the resort were top notch, including the service. The ventilation system in the casino and smoking areas of the resort was state of the art. We didn't leave the bars or casino smelling like an ashtray, nor were we bothered by the smoking of others. It didn't smell like stale cigarette smoke like most casinos do. Another benefit is that this resort offers a whole array of quality spa services, has several boutiques, and a hair salon. The biggest attraction is that it is only a 45 minute drive to South Lake Tahoe where there are some great little bars, restaurants and boutiques. My favorite part was that this resort was out of the depressed downtown area where there were quite a few hobos and drunks roaming the street. This resort is away from all of that and has everything one would possibly need contained within it...except South Lake Tahoe, which is a beautiful drive and good for a fun afternoon out. My only complaint was that there was not enough toiletries upon our arrival. No conditioner and only one bottle of shampoo and lotion. Good thing we bring most of those items with us from home. All in all, I highly recommend staying at this resort if planning a trip to Reno, Nevada. It was a great value of the highest quality for the price of the room!

We only had 3 large towels. We needed at least 4 and we were charged a resort fee of $3.99 each day which was ridiculous. We only used the room to shower and sleep, and we will go out every day. Besides there was no resort. Hotels are using the resort fee to extort more money from travellers. Also the coffee shop downstairs is very expensive and it is the worse coffee I ever had - very bitter. The McDonald nearby had better coffee.

You don't have to drive all the way to Reno to stay at the Casino hotels unless you're going to Mt. Rose for skiing. All the other resorts are south of Boomtown and it's inexpensive for the most part. Rooms are clean and they have good buffet. However I wished they had more restaurant choices besides a fancy steakhouse and Dennys. Other than that, I would recommend.

We were put in the North Wing. I do not recommend it. It is up an elevator, down a long hallway across the catwalk, up a flight of stairs to take the elevator down a floor to our room. This section has only 2 floors. The room was cramped and very far away from the casino floor and any restaurants or amenities. we were also charged a $13.00 resort fee per night in addition to the hotels.com costs. ...but at least the wi-fi was "free" (part of the resort fee). A different night we stayed in another, much pricier section of the hotel, and we were very please.
