Fabulous resort. No complaints at all. The resort is located about 3 miles from the airport so we were there within 10-15 mins of landing. We booked a oceanfront room with a balcony which I highly recommend so you can enjoy watching the sunset from the room. The room was the perfect size for two people. We had a separate bedroom and living area. The bathroom was spacious as well. The room had a large sized dorm fridge, toaster, coffee maker and microwave which came in handy since we enjoyed eating breakfast and sometimes lunch in the room. There is a grocery store within walking distance. Plenty of liquor and cigar stores nearby as well. Food is expensive on the island and it is easy to spend $100 on dinner for 2 people. There were always plenty of open chairs at the beach and pool. Would recommend bringing your own snorkeling gear since it is expensive to rent. The swim up bar was great and the resort staff were always friendly and accommodating. We ate at both Hemingways and Bamboo and enjoyed our meals. Would recommend renting a car (Avis at the Westin) for at least a day to explore the island. We loved the breakfast sail to Stingray Point. It was our favorite part of the trip! There are plenty of great restaurants all over the island with many within walking distance...Lucca, Ragazzi (pizza & pasta), Calypso Grill (West Bay), Cracked Conch (West Bay), Over the Edge (North End)-great for lunch. We always felt safe walking at night. Absolutely wonderful experience!

The hotel rooms were clean and comfortable and good sized. However the concierge is a waste of time, don't book from red-sail they are extremely overpriced. I don't mind paying for quality, but red sail water sports and tours were ridiculously more money than other companies and they aren't better. The westin has a contract that does not allow them to book from other water sport companies which is ridiculous and annoying. On top of that the concierge was always just plan rude. The 4 star restaurant at the resort was closed and will remained closed for months, expedia and the resort gave us no warning of that. The other restaurant at the resort was a disappointment. The swim up bar smelled of vomit or something very sour. The beach was amazing and the room was great other than that this resort scared me away from westins for good. I will return to Grand Cayman but I'm staying at the marriott (much better location) or the ritz.

My travel companion and I read all the reviews on this hotel and though about half were somewhat negative, we wanted to take a chance and form our own opinion. The hotel is conveniently located in Seven Mile Beach. It has its own spot right on the beach. If your room faces the pool/beach, the view is very nice. The resort, and I'm using the term 'resort' loosely here, has condos and a hotel. The condos are closest to the beach while the hotel section sits right behind them. The hotel itself needs some updating. Specifically a fresh coat of paint in the hotel hallways, updated lighting, newer bathrooms/fixtures, updating in the exercise room - newer machines that actually work, renovation of the bathrooms in the exercise room. Billy Bones is the bar/grill located right on the property. The Billy Bones staff was really great - very friendly and great service. The hotel staff on the whole were friendly and helpful. We had trouble with our room safe not working, and the front desk sent up a staff member to our room and it was fixed in minutes. The staff at the hotel store was also friendly. bakery goods. They also have internet ($4 Cayman Dollars for 4 hours). Overall, Treasure Island is nicely located on Seven Mile Beach close to Georgetown by bus. Tropicana Tours is right next door to book island tours or arrange transportation to the airport. Staff is friendly, Billy Bones bar/grill serves great drinks/food at good prices.

Been around and stayed at many first-class resorts,and this is not one of them. It is more of a very nice hotel with resort features. You can rent all the aquatic equipment you find at much larger resorts. The beach is terrific and snorkling is fine on their man-made reef. Location is great, right on 5-mile beach with easy access to Georgetown. They advertise they have a dive center. They don't; they plug you into a herd of divers from other hotels. But they did recommend Ambassador divers, right next door at the /comfort Inn, who specialize in smaller groups and more personalized service. So if you are a diver, definitely go next door to Ambassador for dive trips or even the snorkling trip to Sting ray city. (unless you love taking packaged tours with lots of people.)

The drive up was not impressive at all. The front desk area was clutered looking and again not impressive, you will feel a let down. Once we enetered the 2 bedroom resort it was very very nice with a nice size kitchen and very good appliances. There were 3 tvs, but only 2 remotes the tv are to soon be repaced with flat screens. There are two well stocked bathrooms. When I return I will return to this resort!

The hotel was wonderful - clean, comfortable, staff couldn't have been more helpful. The food in all 3 restaurants was excellent, Blue and Periwinkle the best of the three, but Blue is very expensive. The beach is nice but too crowded - 3 rows of beach chairs extending the length of the beach, and the first row fills up starting at 6:30 am. There were also a lot of kids at the hotel, even very young children, surprising for such an expensive resort. The hotel pools were extremely nice, and again the poolside staff were wonderful, providing samples of cold juice, a cold towel, and drinks or food from the bar. The resort-side pool was the one we enjoyed the most, very quiet, uncrowded. The resort is split into two halves, connected by a walking bridge over a main road. The advantages of the resort side are proximity to the front desk, quiet pool, exercise room and spa, and Periwinkle and Blue restaurants. The beach side of the resort is closer to the third restaurant, the larger pool and the beach. It is not a long walk from one side to the other, but it can be annoying if you simply forgot your sunglasses or a book. Breakfast is served only in the beach side restaurant, called "7", and is expensive. A simple breakfast of coffee, fruit or croissant can be purchased at the "Cupboard" store by the beach-side pool. The exercise room is beautiful and well equipped. I did not use the spa.
