My husband and I spent 3 nights at Ladera on our Honeymoon - it was a beautiful hotel with a unique view of paradise. The staff was helpful and friendly, and the food was amazing! We couldn't have picked a better place to start of our honeymoon. The resort is private and quiet, perfect for relaxing. And we liked the fact that there weren't any kids staying there. The open air rooms take a little getting used to for sleeping - the frogs and wildlife can be a bit noisy at night. But no real problems with bugs -which we were worried about. We can't wait to go back!

Love St. Lucia, love the people, and liked the resort with a few exceptions. Pros: Good diving, for the small stuff. Beautiful vistas. Great food. Nice ambience. Cons: To hot in the rooms (no a/c), it's off-season for a reason. Had to get two extra fans to sleep. You have to sign for everything which puts everything on island time times two, this is the biggest gripe we had. Use a armband system like the rest of the world. Overall we had a nice time but it was not worth the money we had to spend. If not for the cost we would do it again.

We were treated like royalty by a top notch staff. After our trip to the Bahamas we never thought we would find another location where people were genuinely friendly, kind, and helpful, but St.Lucia and Jalousie were up to the task. Our family trip was wonderful for all of us. The fellow vacationers seemed to be smitten as well as many were there for their second or third visit. We will return, too! Everything was perfect: - Food was incredible - Scenery defies description it is so majestic and stunning - Staff were attentive to every question, concern, or need - Activities and tours were plentiful and convenient to the resort - Room was charming, clean, and spacious - Value was amazingly affordable compared to other locations in the Caribbean Hawaii or the South Pacific
