So I did read these reviews before booking the room but I got a good price so I decided to take a chance...but sure enough BELIEVE me if you are sensetive to funny smells you will not be able to handle staying here. When you first walk in the door you realize that the place has a funky musk smell to it in the lobby which was so bad I wasn't able to eat the breakfast because I was so disgusted. The rooms don't smell bad though and they weren't too bad overall except for the fact that someone did a remodel on the hotel and didn't update the windows so they don't stay open like they should, but if you don't mind putting a hanger in the window to keep it open then you'll be fine. The pool is heated but it closes at 8pm and there is no hot tub to relax in. The service at the pool is far from what I expect from a hotel that charges a resort fee since half of the time there would be no pool attendant to give you a towel which they have locked in a room. You have to walk over to the fitness room and beg for a towel because they say they need the towels for people that use the sauna that's in there. There is a wading pool for the toddlers that would be cute if you brought the little ones. Overall I felt like the motel next door was about the same as our hotel and would've been better because I wouldn't have had to pay for parking and for a resort fee just to put up with the poor service and smell of this hotel. The ocean was great though!!!

My wife and I had a wonderful time at The Trump International Beach Resort. Service was great, the room was better, and the view was unbelievable. When we walked into the room we smiled at each other. You know, that can you belive this smile? We spent time at the pool and on the beach. I couldn't have asked for anything better. A small shopping area across the street offered a variety of restaurants, coffee shops, and shopping. If you like the North Beach area, then you can't miss on this one

This was the perfect hotel for us as we wanted to have easy access to the ocean. The pool and poolside restaurant were also great. The room had a pull down murphy bed and a sliding divider to separate the murphy bed (sofa area) from the main bed. Each area had it's own TV so that made it very nice for a family. I look forward to returning to this resort in the future. Great nightlife at the hotel and also close to a lot of other attractions and resturants.

All I can say is taking a 4 day trip to a resort in Miami can be a dangerous experience especially if you choose to stay in the dodgy hotels of South Beach. If you pick wrong, you'll be miserable all weekend. Thankfully, this resort is everything that is beautiful about Miami. Great private beach, waiter service to your beach chair, multiple swimming pools including an adults-only pool, no problems finding empty chairs at the pool, quiet at night, great bathrooms/showers/jacuzzi tubs.... Sure, it's expensive but surrounding hotels are almost as expensive and they aren't nearly as nice. You get what you pay for. Spend the extra money and you'll be glad you did.
