Stay was comfortable; however, the hotel was not a resort! The pool had ceramic tiles missing. The A/C did not work properly. Ice machine was not operational. Will not stay here again only as a last resort. The hotel was not a resort.

The Buttes is an older but well maintained resort in Tempe. Easy access to shopping, resturants, and entertainment venues. Right next to Diablo stadium where Angels have spring training. Stayed a week without any problems. Room was ready and very clean. The housekeeping staff was very efficient and professional. Did not eat at resort resturants this trip but have dined before at Top of The Rock when I lived in Az. It has very good cuisine and an incredible view from the hill top location. My only complaint is the absurd practice of charging $10.00 per day parking fee for your car. Come on Marriott you gotta be kidding. The price you get and you want to gig guests for parking their car! It is not even valet or even covered . If you can score a good unpublished rate this is still a great value resort.
