Without doing a lot of research, we paid a little more for a resort right on the beach. The suite (with roomy kitchenette) was clean and perfectly comfortable except for slightly dated bedding. Service was friendly and responsive except for initially finding only two towels in a room (booked for a family of four). That was corrected pretty quickly, though. The location and beach are great if you want to be away from the hustle of the main boardwalk. But, that means your in-house dining options are limited to the pricey cuisine (almost) at the restaurant. The table next to us complained pretty firmly about the food (and were comped their wine) but we found it tasty but over-salted. The biggest disappointment (call me a geek) was that on top of resort prices, they expected us to pay $10/day for in-room wi-fi with free wi-fi only in the lobby. Worse, I couldn't even connect to that, despite having been able to connect (for free) at every cheap hotel all the way from Chicago. Conclusion: To live up to its business resort label this hotel really needs to offer basic, expected business features: free in-room wi-fi and affordable lunch and dinner options. And, it needs to offer some resort amenities: a free, frequent shuttle to the boardwalk and updated linens and decor. Otherwise, it is just a high-priced, roomy place to crash on a really nice beach.

I stayed here for 2 nights and this was my first visit. I really enjoyed staying here the room was really clean. The bed was really really comfortable and the French interior gives a cozy feel. The moment I walked in the room I fell in love with it. The resort has a nice pool and spa service which is not very highly priced. It has its own restaurant, pub and a bakery which was empty all the time I saw it. I went to the bakery but muffins were not fresh. Its good thought that all the fast food restaurants are near by so in that way the location is really good. Its just 15 minutes from the Virgina beach so you can pay less for nice stay and still be at the beach all the time. The price for the room was worth it.
