We stayed at the Grand Wailea Resort in June and couldn't be happier. We drove up to the hotel and the lobby is beautiful and breath-taking. We were greeted with flower leis and we were instantly relaxed. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. The bed was very comfortable! The landscape makes you feel like you are truly in paradise. I love sitting out on the lanai sipping coffee and listening to the ocean in the morning--so peaceful. Everywhere you walk on the hotel grounds, you can smell the plumeria flowers. The pools and beaches are amazing! My daughters, 11 and 9, were in the pools or ocean from 7 am to 5 pm and loved it! This hotel is incredibly kid-friendly and family oriented. If I wanted to get away. I also had the choice of the Hibiscus pool--adults only. I participated in the complimentary yoga classes on the beach or in the spa everyday. I could not have been more relaxed. The Grand Wailea Resort had the best beach on Maui! Can't wait to go back someday. Extremely satisfied!!!

From the time we arrived, to the time we left the Fairmont, we were in complete paradise. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. The activities coordinator helped us plan the perfect excursions. We couldn't have asked for a better honeymoon! Cafe Ciao was our favorite restaurant at the resort, but everything was spectacular! The hotel is beautiful and is very conveniently located. The pools and beach were exquisite! We are already planning on when we can return!

My trip to the Wailea Beach Marriott Resort & Spa was amazing. There was construction going on in the lobby area but it wasnt too loud. A temporary lobby is set up next to the lobby area that is still nice. The rest of the hotel is amazing, from the water slides and views to the hotel service. I was immediatly upgraded to an ocean front room without even asking...its was amazing and I cant wait to go back!

I spent a week at this hotel and enjoyed it greatly. Like so many places on the island, you need a car anyway to see everything. This hotel not within walking distance of food/shops (other than what's on the property). About a mile or so down the road are several other hotels and the Wilea shopping center which has several restaurants and lots of higher-end shopping. Across the street from the resort is a golf course. The hotel will provide transportation for you to either area anytime you'd like if you don't have a car. The hustle/bustle/tourist area would be over in Lahaina or Ka'anapoli areas. But you have to fight the crowds of people. This hotel is a much better option because you can relax and just enjoy the resort. Good food, good service, great rooms. I read other posts which talked about older rooms. But they have apparently updated many if not all. My room was updated with a flat screen TV, newer bed, modern bath, etc. Very comfortable and clean. Rooms have doors that open to exterior hallways (rather than inside hallways). I had a half-ocean view which was fine. They have full ocean views too, just didn't need to pay the extra personally. The pool and decking looks new the grounds are meticulously maintained. It's surrounded by golf courses and beaches. The beach is clean and beautiful. The staff were great and very friendly. It's a 30 min drive to the Airport or start of the Hana Highway - along a 4-lane highway. I'll be back.

My husband and I , as well as 2 other couples stayed at this resort last week in Maui. We had been to the Grand Wailea before, and loved it so we wanted to try their newest townhomes across the street. Every single part of the trip was amazing! The ONLY problem was upon checkout we were told that a $500 cleaning fee was charged per unit. Expedia, nor the hotel informed us of any sort of charge in this large amount. That was frustrating, but as long as people know up front it shouldn't be a problem.
