The entire resort has been recently remodeled, and though the buildings retain their 70's ski-chalet exteriors, inside the rooms are quite modern, with the occasional mountain touch, like a wooden peg wall for coats. The grounds are landscaped with tall trees, ferns and moss-covered rocks, for a real camp in the woods feel. A pair of fawns passed by our sliding glass door in broad daylight. One thing to be aware of: the property map significantly compacts the resort. Staying anywhere other than the buildings adjacent to the pool will mean a long slog in a wet swimsuit. The Crofts building is actually down the road a bit, with a couple of properties separating it from the main resort. Finally, a note to the hotelier: we had plenty of activities to fill 24 hours with two children. However, had we stayed longer, I would really have appreciated an old-fashioned rec room, with a ping pong table, billiards, foosball, etc. Might be nice for winter, too? Just a thought...
