Nice hotel, although not nearly as nice as a luxury resort at the bottom of Whistler Mountain is normally made out to be. However, this might be explained by the price which was one of the lowest in the village area. It was most convenient to the ski lift and the village so I would definitely stay there again if the price were the same.

I booked the Tantalus Resort Lodge as it looked good value on the website, with good facilities. Then I made the mistake of reading online reviews, which put me off! They talked about it being dirty, and a LONG walk uphill to Whistler Village. Whilst I'm not sure I would want to do the walk in ski boots in the winter, in the summer it was an easy 5 minute walk, with a slight hill - even with a pram! The hotel was spotlessly clean, and the room was spacious and well laid out - pretty impressive to have 2 full bathrooms! Kitchen was well-equipped, though it might have been useful to have some milk to go with the coffee and tea that was provided. The only downside was that the double bed was extremely uncomfortable - definitely a new mattress neeeded! But the single beds were comfortable, and baby daughter seemed happy in her cot! I would recommend this hotel if you don't want anything too flash, it was a comfortable hotel for a family on a budget.

Big, clean, comfortable rooms, helpful people, really nice amenities along with a great location. I would definitely stay here again. The only 2 drawbacks were: (1) The resort fee. I wish it were either optional (I didn't use any of the 'resort' amenities) or that it was rolled into the price of the room if there's no choice. (2) $25/day to park seems a bit steep. But I suppose it is Whistler and it's a prime parking location.

The lower floors were noisy. We thought e had paid for a high floor but turns out they had put us on the 4th floor. Most of the hotels in this price range have real spa amenities. You come to expect it at a ski resort, but they had no pool, only a hot tub that was pretty rinky dink for a hotel in this price range. Also parking for two cars (we rented a 2br) was 40 bucks a night and wasn't clearly stated when we parked or anywhere I saw on the hotel's website. I think there are better values under the gondola. Must be said service and staff were excellent.

Mountainside Lodge was really great. When we arrived we were informed that our room had been upgraded (totally unexpected). The room was spacious, had a full kitchen, two fireplaces, a two-person whirlpool bath, two bathrooms. It was very convenient to the Square. We enjoyed having the kitchen, so that we could eat breakfast in. We had a regular coffee maker and coffee was supplied (not so with other suite-type places). The only drawback was the noise on the street at night--it's not the Lodge's fault--it's a ski resort area with lots of drinking fools on the streets. I highly recommend Mountainside Lodge
